"In the Mood?"

I believe a little while back someone posted a request out there about "Zero Sex Drive". I didn't respond, but I totally agree after having my 2 babies who are exactly a year and 3 weeks apart. My husband and I have talked about this and have tried to work on this and for the most part it's going okay, but sometimes I just want to sleep! I've recently seen advertised on TV an ad for "Zestra". Has anyone ever used or tried this product??

What can I do next?

Hi K.,

No, I haven't tried this drug. I do have a suggestion on how you may be feeling. No one realizes how difficult it is to be a stay at home mom, especially with more than one child. I did this for six months when my son was born, I didn't like it, not because I didn't enjoyed my son on the contrary. I just needed something more. My point being is that you have Zero drive is first of all you have children practically back to back, your hormones in your body are adjusting from the birth. I know you have heard that it takes a year for you body to return back to normal, well that doesn't just mean weight loss. You and your husband have to plan time alone without the kids. I know that this is not easy, it never is. But not only do you nurture your children you need to nurture you marriage. As a mom we tend to engulf ourselves into being all parent and forget about being a wife. Take the time to fall in love with your husband again and vice versus for him. You will be surprise how much that will help bring back the spark that is wondering from your births. Take care and good luck.

I have also seen that advertised but have not tried it. you wil probably want to check it out and make sure that it will not interfer with any health conditions, and that it will not affect any medication you may be on. Sometimes that stuff can render birthcontrol ineffective and that may not be what you would want. I know that there are herbs out there that can help with our sex drive and if you find that this works for you let us know because I know I certainly would like to find something to help rev things up.

Hi K. S. I say shake things up a bit! Try doing some of the things you did with your husband before you had kids. Also, experiment with toys, lingerie, etc. Whatever gets you guys in the mood naturally, go with that! Sometimes we have to think outside of the norm when we are married. And best of luck no matter what you decide to do!

Yes, I have tried it and it did NOTHING for me. I don't know if it would for you, but I know somepne else who used it and it didn't work for her either!
