I am searching for a really good hairstylist in the Salt Lake area! I dont want to spend a fortune, but I am super picky... I am a stylist myself and I know what I need and want, I just cant do it on myself =( I am new to the area and I dont know anyone... I am looking to pay $100 or less including tip...

What can I do next?

LOVE Logan at Landis Aveda in Salt Lake. He is around 50-55 for the haircut. He just won a coloring competition for Aveda in LA so he will be teaching color to other stylists. 3 people in my family go to him for cuts. 13th South and 9th East ###-###-####.

I like Monique at Salon O - cuts are definitely under $100, but if you want color it might be more.

Try Shane Perryman at Salon NV right downtown off of 200 South! He is fabulous....I can say this from personal experience!! He cuts most of my family member's hair and does a wonderful job....everyone who gets their hair done by him just raves about him.

Jeanette Meisenbacher, she is in So Jordan or Sandy not sure how the city lines are--anyway she has a full salon in her basement so her overhead isn't too high and she is AMAZING and her prices are really great too. her number is ###-###-#### You can tell her that C. gave you her number.

Go see Christe or Mina at Christe's Cutaway on Parley's way. They are both excellent!!!

I have been going to Lindsay at Salon Keiji at the corner of 700 E and 2100 So. for a few years now. My hair used to be short, and she was fabulous at cutting it, and now my hair is long and she cuts and colors it. She's a color 'specialist' there (other stylists are always asking her questions).

Also, she is rarely running behind (one of my pet peeves), and not too difficult to get an appt with. She's nice to chat with - remembers details about me and my fam, etc listens well.

She charges arond $40-50 for a hair cut (not sure on a cut alone anymore, since I get a color now too, and it runs me around $130 or $140). I'd say she's in the mid to higher range for UT. I've been to some that charge $15 for a decent cut, and some that charge $50-$60 for a terrible cut. You don't always get what you pay for I've found, so it pays to ask around like you are doing.
