Wow. Today is our wedding anniversary. We have been married for 16 yrs. It goes by so fast. Most of the 16 yrs have been good. Its definetly about comproise and not holding grudges. Plus one my side of the family we come from a long line of happy marriages. I have 12 cousins not one is divorced. For sets of aunt/uncles not one is divorced. My parents have been married for 44yrs. My siblings are married. I in the age of everything disposable I think it says something.

Make it a GREAT day. I know I will.

What can I do next?

Happy Anniversary C.! If you can, I'd take a weekend and go away. Leave Friday morning and don't come back til Sunday night. Just a quick getaway to do things you both enjoy. Whatever you do, congratulations!
We celebrated our 10th anniversary this past Aug. and were thinking how lucky we are. Many of our friends from college are divorced. Both sets of our parents are divorced! Communication is the key ;o) Enjoy!

Happy Anniversary and congratulations! We didn't view our 16th as a milestone year - not like a Sweet 16. We often spend our September anniversary at curriculum night for one of the kids. This year was our 20th.

Have a wonderful day!

Congrats!
Hubby and I will be celebrating our 17th anniversary in April, all of them in the Army (but this will be the last one in the Army!) The next one we will really celebrate will be the 20th, until then the little one will be old enough to bother the grandparents (she is now 18 months) and the oldest will be old enough to maybe be left home alone (she is 8 now)

Congratulations!!!

We celibrated our 10th, 20th, and 25th. When we hit 25 we decided to do something special for each year after that. My wife plans one year and I plan the next. We have had some wonderful times.

I love to travel and see different things. I've been to 49 states, 47 countries and 6 continents. My wife and I love cruising together and so we go at least once per year. And now is a wonderful time to go cruising. The economy is bad and the cruise lines are discounting like they never have before to get people on board. The same can be said for resorts. They are discounting like never before. How do we pay for our cruising? Brown bag lunches. My co-workers would spend between $5 to $9 per day for lunch, while I spent $1 for my home made lunch. I have a vacation jar at home. When I didn't spend the money for lunch, I'd put the money in the vacation jar and it always ammounted to enough to pay for a 7 day cruise for the two of us.

Worried about being sea sick? Cruise ships are so steady and stable some have bowling alleys and minature golf courses on board.

Good luck to you and yours.
