Would like your opinions on ADT Security Systems as to cost, services, response time, customer service, whatever you would like to say. If you have other companies you prefer, would like to hear from you who they are, and why they are your preference.

I like my service but they do increase rates pretty regularly. I called recently to cancel & they lowered my rate back to the original. Can not answer for medical alert program but do know they have a fast respond rate when your alarm goes off.
I have DFW Security for about a year now and have been very happy with their service and especially their prices. We have had no issues with our system and their install was quick and easy and they are one of the least expensive out there with the best service. I highly recommend.
ETA: I am more interested in the medical alert feature than home security. Anyone have more comments? Thanks!
They are twice the price we are and their service is lacking...per my custmers. I am with DFW Security - we have been around for 20 years, NEVER increased our rates, and offer the best value in the metroplex! Our regular phone line monitoring is $12.95 plus tax per month, internet phone/no home phone is $16.95 plus tax....we do not charge extra for monitoring the life alert pendants - I saved my neighbor $25 a month on her medical pendant. 90% of the time we can reprogram an existing DSC, Adempco, or GE system and we upgrade to a new system when a customer has Brinks, Gemini, Moose, Magnum Alert, etc. We also have a 2 Gig system that allows you to add home automation, access to your system from smart phones and computers, and all the currently offered bells and whistles out there.
It doesn't cost anything for me to come see what your options are - we are here to help educate our customers. We work with most insurance agencies across the metroplex - they refer us to their customers because they trust and believe in what we offer - many have our services in their own homes and offices and others will be switcjing once their current contracts are up.
I can provide as many referrals as you'd like of happy customers in the area. We service a 50 mile radius from Dallas and a 50 mile radius from Ft Worth.
