Good morning ladies!

I am so glad it is Friday and I want each of you to know that I love Mamapedia!!!! I love the fast responses and the willingness of moms to help one another and share their thoughts. i just got through a rough time through prayer - really venting to God about some things I was angry about and examining some areas of my life; afterwards I felt sooooo much better. I was reassured that things will get better. The thing is, they already have been getting much better. I had just temporarily lost focus of what was going right in my life!

Anyway, I am grateful to you all and the creators of this platform for women, especially in light of it being women's history month. Ladies, you are awesome and I celebrate you today! You have persevered through some very difficult times and wear so many hats! Thanks for doing what you do best and for the contribution you as women make to mankind. I led an online chat last night entitled, "Women's History Month: Making your Mark!" I ask you all now, "What are you doing to make your mark?"

Love and blessings,

M.

i agree with you 100% about this website....i love it. as for how i'm leaving my mark.....hmmmm!!! i really had to thinnk on that one...i do so much but i love doing it so i don't look at it as leaving my mark. i volunteer in the 2nd grade in our school(my son is in 3rd).. at our church i co-direct sparks in the awana group(school age k-2), i work in the VBS, i help with the soccer camp our church sponsors. i am also the funeral/wedding hostess for our church. i love being busy and working with the kids. i like the feeling of when the kids see me in the grocery store or such that they can come up to me and say hello with out fear!! so maybe it's not the mark to leave but to do something that can affect your life as well as others!!!! good question though!!!!

by staying at home with my sons, I truly believe I instilled a pride in frugality. An ability to avoid "keeping" up with the neighbors....& a joy in repurposing & reusing basic materials. These are life lessons which I believe our sons will carry thru life!

EDIT: I would like to brag about my Mom, tho'! After working at a job she really disliked & hated at times (she stayed to support us & to work for that all important union pension).....anyway, after retirement, she was voted Mayor of the little historic village where she lives! She held the office for 2 terms until she decided to retire for good. I am very proud of the mark she's left!

This month I am honoring woman hood by providing for my family a good income and a warm comfortable place to call home. I am empowered and energized by my children and husband and celebrate the rich life I have been blessed with.
