Might be a stupid question but do you have to have a blender to make drinks slushy? Tonight my hubby are grilling and I want to make a slushy lemonade drink but no blender. Any way around it?

Hope you all are having a great and safe day!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Did it! I made a batch of lemonade then added frozen fruit to it and froze it in the freezer. It was delicious and refreshing! Thanks ladies!

You still have a few hours right?? Make up the lemonade and then put it in the freezer. We did this in a gallon milk jug for camping. When it was thawed, it was still slushy. YUM!

No you don't. Just freeze the lemonade for a couple of hours they become slushy automatically.

Or freeze it in a ziplock bag, then using a rolling pin slush it up, add to a cup half then place some more lemonade instant lemonade slush

Yum

Do you have a food processor? That might work. Also, if your refrigerator gives you crushed ice, you could put some in a plastic bag and lightly use a hammer to make it even more fine, then mix with very cold lemonade. You won't get the exact same slushy texture, but would come close.

The ice cream makers that you pre-chill in the freezer can be used to make slushy drinks if you put sugary juice or lemonade in instead of ice cream mix. We have another machine that has a jar in the middle you seal ice and salt inside, and then the drink is stirred around the outside.

You only need crushed ice. So if you have a hammer, large ziploc bag and a towel you can make the crushed ice without a blender.

I got my daughter that slushie maker you see on TV and it works great with all kinds of juices. It is worth the 5 bucks we spent on it.
