I am pregnant with my first child and I have never had to research this stuff before. I have looked at Primerose Academy of Southlake, Creme de la creme and Cronerstone learning all in the Southlake area. I work in the area of hwy 114 and grapevine hwy and would love to have the baby close during the day. Any feedback on any facilites would be great. Thanks

What can I do next?

My friend Katie is starting to watch kids in her home - she has 3 of her own, 2 in school now...she charges $10 an hour and is a great mom. She wants to remain at home and thought this would be a good way to keep her there. Her number is ###-###-#### (cell) and ###-###-#### (home)

She lives in a neighborhood off Davis, past N Tarrant...not far from the Super Wal-Mart/Target.

I adore her kiddos and she is just a wonderful Christian lady.

Hi B.,
I personally don't have my child in daycare, but my two coworkers have their kids in the Kids R Kids daycares. They love it, especially because they can log on to a website and 'check up' on their kiddos during their day because KRK have cameras in their establishments! So for peace of mind you might want to look into them. They have two locations, one in Keller and the other in Irving off of 121 and Regent Blvd.-which is not too far from Grapevine, which is where our office is located. Good luck with everyting!

I live in Keller, but my son is at Primrose at Hidden Lakes. I understand that the Hidden Lakes and the Southlake location that you looked at are owned by the same folks. I have been very happy with Hidden Lakes. My son is in the young toddler room, but started at 12 mos in the baby room. They split the babies into infants and crawlers and I really liked this. Not all daycare do this. Also, I really liked the caregiver in the crawler side...Deniva? I think was her name. Older, more mature, great with the babies. Think young grandma, she was great. They are expensive, but I have been very pleased and figure it is a long term investment.

My daughters go to Carpe Diem Private Preschool and they LOVE, LOVE ,LOVE it. I hear they are opening a Carpe Diem in Southlake behind Sprouts this August. I would highly recommend that preschool. Not only are the teachers wonderful, great facility, wonderful educational philosophy - they have webcams and finger print scan for parent's peace of mind.

I had a 2 year old and new born at primrose southlake 2 years ago. The morning staff is adult and seemed very caring and proficient. The afternoon staff was mostly high school girls and care was spotty and lots of turnover. Left after a year. Went to nanny. I have heard good things about Peanut Gallery in Grapevine - at William D. Tate & Dallas dr.
