Hello Ladies,

I am wanting to make a little extra money doing something from home. It's hard to determine what companies out there are legit and what ones are not. I don't want to make a huge investment, if any at all. I work full time already, but want a little extra something. Some family circumstances moved us back to Illinois from Dallas and we are staying with my in-laws at the moment and we despertley need to save up money for a house. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on how to make a little extra money. Which at home companies might be good that I could do after my daughter goes to bed? Like stuffing envelopes, typing, assebling things, ect... or any other ideas?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you all for your ideas on how to make a little extra income. I have actually signed up to be an Usborne Books Consultant. I am very excited to start this experience. Since I am a teacher I thought this would be the natural route to take. I hope it will be a blessing for my family. If anyone is interested in hosting a Home Show (you can earn free childrens books) let me know! Check out my website at www.ubah.com/W2382

Thank you again for all your suggestions.

I know that you will receive many, many offers for you to join homemakers businesses like Lia Sophia, Southern Living, Tupperware, Pampered Chef and the like. Well in this economy unless you have a very large group of supportive friends or co-workers to hit up for parties and to become a distributor as well you will not make much money. You could alway try to do surveys online after bedtime, some pay money, not alot but some. Also if your inlaws wouldn't mind, maybe they could "take over" the night watch and you could maybe work registry at a local hospital or other 24 hour place or a place that needs overnight stockers and remarketers(they change around displays according to preplans). I know you said you want to stay in house and not sure what your training level is but you could also offer any office type services, organizing, typing reports and the like. Also if you don't have extra skills needed to support your family in the event of unemployment or disablement of your husband you could do online school, if you are living with your inlaws you may very well qualify for a pell grant or other grants scholarships or financing and put you in a better situation in the future. All from the comfort of your home, I have 3 kids and attend school from home and work part time at a hospital.

If you love candles and like the idea of "Going Green", help support the American Farmer, you can make your own NV Soy Wax candles. They are a great gift for family and friends or just support your own Love of Candles. Check out my web site at www.cwlight.net/RuthHerb. The web site has lots of information on health benefits of burning cleaning, longer lasting candles. You can also email me at: ____@____.com with questions.

I'm sure that you are going to get a lot of different ideas thrown out here, so here's one more. I currently work as a Fashion Director for Jewels by Park Lane. They are based out of Schaumburg. This isn't your typical jewelry home show. I looked into every other jewelry company out there and Jewels by Park Lane has the BEST rewards for customers, hostesses and Directors. They are a motivated company that has been in business for 53 years and is family owned. They have a special going on until July 30th for signing up, it's only $5.00!!
I am a mommy of 3 little children and this is a wonderful way to get out of the house once a week in the evening or once a month. The pay is wonderful. I make full time pay working LESS then part time hours!
If you are interested, I would be more then happy to talk to you more about the wonderful benefits of working for such a fabulous company!

I too was looking for something I could do from home to make a little extra cash. There are so many fake companies out there. I finally found a company called Cha Cha. You do not pay even one cent to work for them (technically you are an independent contractor).

People text questions to Cha Cha (242 242) and the questions are sent to my computer. I answer them and get paid based on how many I answer. I promise you, it is legit. You can see for youself. Text 242 242 with a question about anything (like what is the weather supposed to be today in Chicago?) and within a few minutes you will get a text back.

The pay is small, but it is something extra. The application process is a little long but as long as you pass the tests, you start working right away (set your own hours).

www.chacha.com. If you do it, please put in the email address ____@____.com (hubbys email). I would get a benefit from you doing it, but it doesn't effect you in any way. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi,

I saw your ad and thought I would respond. I am a sahm to 3 beautiful (but very time consuming!) kids. Anyway a couple of months ago I was debating whether or not to go back to work and with daycare costs, and gas prices what they are, I realized I need to do something from home. I thought about doing daycare but realized I value my freedom way too much (and my 3 kids are PLENTY of work;) I found a position with a solid 16 year old company, marketing and enrolling new members into discount health benefit programs. You can work from your house as long as you have internet access and a phone. We currently have a promotion running until October 31st- 25.00 Registration fee. Normally 95.00. The company offers 6 months adv. pay, daily pay, health benefits for your entire household, 401k options and life insurance. The position is commission based but very lucrative considering 7 out of 10 people are either uninsured or under insured. The programs are VERY affordable ranging between $19.95 - $59.95 per month for the entire household. This is a booming field to get into given the current economic situation and healthcare crisis. Let me know if you would like more information, it has been a great opportunity for me and my family.

Best of Luck!

Please check out my Usborne Books website: ubah.com/V2232. I LOVE these books, and my kids do too. It's a great company. I get a lot of support from my supervisor. Everything is very easy- they set up a website for you and you can sell books online, at home parties, preschools, craft shows, dance recitals, etc. etc. When people see the books, they sell themselves. The start up cost is low (Every month there's a special on a start up kit. Mine was $65 and included 10 beautiful books and everything I needed). It has worked out great for me!

I also was in your position until recently. I was looking to earn a little extra income and I happened to talkm to the right people and get invloved in a great company. I work as a buyer for a licenced, insured gold purchasing company that is the NEW way to make lots of quick cash. The price of gold is at an all time high right now and our company has a very unique way of making YOU money. Basically, you set up a date and a time for us (2-3 hours) and we do all the work. We come to the place of your choice and purchase any gold, silver, and/or platinum that you and your frinds no longer wear or is broken or damaged. We do all the work. Your friends get paid top dollar everything, immediatly! If you host the party, you get 10% of everything purchased at your party in cash, on the spot. Any of your friends that decide to book a party thereafter, you get 5% of the total purchased from their parties as well. We set parties up in offices, schools, private homes, churches, hotels, ect. If you have two hours to make a few hundred dollars-cash, call me and I can let you know more of the details and about our dates available because our calenars are filling up fast! Hi K.-
I have been making money at home selling Barefoot Books. You can actually start selling online with no investment at all...(but I would reccomend investing in the starter kit which costs $99 and includes everything you need to start making money right away).

Barefoot is a fantastic company. They make beautiful, meaningful, quality books for children. I love that my home is full of award-winning books and that my business fits so closely with our life and my priorities. I have two boys- one is almost 3 and one is 18 months old- and I love the way my new business fits into my life.

Please email me if you would like to hear more. Or you can check out my website for more info.

Warmly,

A.

K.,

I just became an Independent Sales Consultant for Pampered Chef and on my first Cooking Show I have earned over $100! It is an exciting way to earn more money and spend time with your children. I make my calls and do my paperwork during my daughter's nap so I have several hours of uninterrupted work time. I would love to share the experience with you! It is always easier to do new things with someone else. Please contact me if you want more information. I live in Crystal Lake and my director is great and would also be a good information source. Let me know what you think.
