I'm interested in working from home, but am not interested in sales. I do not have a client base to sell things like pampered chef, lia sephia etc. Are there any other companies that are legit that you could recommend?

What can I do next?

If you are only looking to make a small amount per month, the only legit company I know of is Cha Cha. Check the BBB, etc... they are real. You would probably only make a couple hundred a month, but with the economy the way it is, it could make a difference!

You sign online whenever you want to work and answer people's questions. The questions come from people who text in and it shows up on your computer. You look up the answer and write back on your computer and it texts them back.Questions range from what is the weather supposed to be like today to who starred in this movie... If you have a cell, try it. Text a question to 242 242 and you will get an answer back. (You will only pay whatever your cell phone charges you for a text. Cha Cha does not charge you).

Hi B.,

Seven years ago I found myself needing some extra income to help out with the family budget. I had left my teaching position to be home with my 2 little ones. I knew that in order for me to be happy (that is an important thing for being a Mommy) , I needed to find some type of work that I was passionate about! Kids had been my life, but books were my passion!

In 2001, I found Usborne Books, a children's publishing company and haven't left! The books and this company are amazing. I too felt like I was not a salesperson, I had never sold a thing in my life! I also did not have a customer base to start with. But, I wanted these books for my kids so I gave it a shot! I knew I had nothing to lose, as we have no sales minimums to meet and a low start-up cost.

The neat thing about Usborne is that we can work directly with schools, libraries, day cares, etc. We can sell at craft fairs/booths to build our customer base. We can even sell from our own websites, which are included in our awesome Aug. kit!

As a supervisor, one of my favorite roles is to help other Moms, like me, reach their dreams of working from home. If you would like more info on Usborne Books, feel free to e-mail me at ____@____.com I would even be happy to meet for coffee!!!

Best wishes!
D.

One of my friends is a SAHM and makes phone calls for AmVets. She makes between $50-$100 a week. There are some rules you have to follow, but it seems like a fairly easy job. She works a couple afternoons a week while her boys sleep. Your pay is based on how many people actually have items collected.

I also wanted to say I sell Pampered Chef and I wasn't sure about my ability to form a client base, but I was so surprised! People LOVE the product and it sells easily. I made $120 in my first show! If you are interested in knowing more contact me directly.

Hi,

I saw your ad and thought I would respond. I am a sahm to 3 beautiful (but very time consuming!) kids. Anyway a couple of months ago I was debating whether or not to go back to work and with daycare costs, and gas prices what they are, I realized I need to do something from home. I thought about doing daycare but realized I value my freedom way too much (and my 3 kids are PLENTY of work;) I found a position with a solid 16 year old company, marketing and enrolling new members into discount health benefit programs. You can work from your house as long as you have internet access and a phone. The company offers 6 months adv. pay, daily pay, health benefits for your entire household, 401k options and life insurance. The position is commission based but very lucrative considering 7 out of 10 people are either uninsured or under insured. The programs are VERY affordable ranging between $19.95 - $59.95 per month for the entire household. This is a booming field to get into given the current economic situation and healthcare crisis. Let me know if you would like more information, it has been a great opportunity for me and my family.

Best of Luck!

I would love to do that too, but when you go to the Internet, it is all a bunch of garbage and scams.. Not sure what can you do besides seeing if there are companies who send out mass mails to get more business if they may need help.

Good luck to you as well. I am having a problem/trouble getting a FULL TIME TEACHING JOB! I wish I wasn't, so for now it seems I need to at least go towards subbing.

I wanted to also let you know that I am having an VENDOR OPEN HOUSE at my home in Lake In The Hills.

Vendors that will be represented:

United at Home
Tastefully Simple
Lia Sophia
Jordan Essentials
Mary Kay
Tupperware
Pampered Chef
Shaklee
Essential Bodyware

On Aug 23rd from 3-7? (may go later).

I tried calling for Am-Vets and I didn't think it was worth the time. The previous poster is correct...you only get paid for people who actually leave items. I thought I could do it a few hours every afternoon, but I found that most people weren't home during the day. I ended up spending hours at night and the weekends trying to get ahold of people. The people were usually very nice, but it took A LONG TIME to make my quota of 30 pick-ups per week. Often people would say they would leave things and then not do it...even with a reminder call the night before and postcards (you pay postage). I usually got a check for between $20-$40 per week, but I thought I would get a lot more for the hours I put in. It was "easy", but VERY time consuming...not at all what I expected. I wish I could find something too!

I do home daycare...that way I can spend time with my kids and still bring in some extra money. I was also a teacher and make comparable "take home" money...of course there's no retirement or benefits, but for me I love to be home with my kids. Good Luck!
