Pampered Chef or Lia Sophia Consultant--which One Would You Do?

I believe both of these home base business are good. But if you are seeking great commission since you mentioned that Lia Sophia paid more. I have found that Residual Income is the way to go. You get paid for something you do once month after month for years to come. It's called Consumer Direct Marketing with a "Go Green" company. You can do it eye ball to eye ball or conference call or internet. It's my other stream income since we are in economic times. i would do pampered chef. i've been wanting to do it for a while, but i don't have the money up front to get started. plus, i think the products you'd get from pampered chef would be much more useful than a bunch of jewelry (no offense to the jewelry gals out there!). :) just my opinion. good luck with your decision! and congrats on the upcoming baby!!

I love both products...but in this economy people have to eat, they don't have to have fun jewelry. So I'd say PC. I sold it years ago, and my biggest challenge was finding the time to do all the shows I booked. Best of luck with either business, they're both excellent quality products!

I also sell Pampered Chef and LOVE doing it. The products sell themselves and our host insentives are great! I haven't had too much trouble finding people to host a party. I let everyone know what my goals are and ask them if they'd like to help me and earn free products along the way. Where do you live? I am a Pampered Chef consultant and have been for 3 years now. I considered a few other companies before deciding on Pampered Chef. In comparison, I found that Pampered Chef has something for everyone (well, at least everyone that eats!!) Prices for the product are reasonable and over 60% of our product is less than $20. Plus, you don't have to carry inventory. As for commission rates, with Pampered Chef, the rate goes up based on sales each month. There is also a 90 Day bonus period that gives you the opportunity to earn even more! K. - What is your regular career? I'm wondering if you could find part-time or freelance work in that career. I agree with several others - while PC and LS may normally do well - right now those are considered extras for most people. I know I'm not splurging on anything right now. I've been getting all of my gifts for people off of freecycle.org or at resale shops. The only thing I did splurge on when I got my tax return was two pair of shoes that I desperately needed.

I've been seeing a lot of pieces on the news about jobs that are still hiring - nursing (you can do this part time). Think about jobs that are a necessity. On Monster they had this article about jobs that will be created due to the stimulus: http://career-advice.monster.com/job-search/Company-Indus.... You might just browse jobs on Monster - search by state, then city and just by looking at the categories you can see how many jobs are posted - you might find something that way. What about taking care of someone else's child while you take care of your own?

You also might check e-lance.com where they post jobs for people who do all sorts of types of freelance work. Hope this helps!

I sold Pampered Chef for about 3 years, then I considered Lia Sophia after I stopped PC. I loved both products. I found after time no one wanted to have parties. With Lia Sophia they make the hostess incentives too good to beat. That may make finding people to have a show easier than PC. I did get a lot of great products that I still use today! Just go into it knowing it's not so simple to book shows, you have to be really persistant or have a lot of friends willing to help you. But the $ is good and it's fun and flexible. Good luck!
