I am looking for am equestrian center it the Lake Highlands area for my three year old daughter who loves to ride ponies.
Does anybody know of any and if so could you give me as many details as you can?
there are some horse stables in lake highlands, I don't know if they would be able to accommodate you, but you could check. travelling East on Northwest Highway, turn left at Lawther (just past white rock dart rail station). turn left at stop sign on Go Forth, stables are on the right.
Hi there, my daughter also loves horses. She is now 6 1/2. I tried to find her a riding program (English) when she was 4 and was told she was too young by every place I called in Dallas. We are from the Northeast and found a place for her to ride at while we were visiting one summer.
I finally talked an instructor into take her on as a private student when she was 5 1/2. She LOVES it and now rides once a week. I think the average start age for most riders here in Dallas is 7-8 years old.
You may have more luck looking for farms to visit if you just want to do pony rides. Pure equestrian centers will most likely say your daughter is too young.

I would love to know if you find out about anything. I have never checked into this, but I do know that there are some stables near White Rock Lake. They may just allow people to board their horses there, but its worth checking into. Sorry I don't know the name of the stables. My husband and I grew up around horses and would love for our boys to have the same experience. If you don't mind, would you forward anything you find out to me? Thanks.
There is one called Rocking M Stables.....it is not exactly in Lake Highlands, but pretty darn close. The address is 7807 Fair Oaks Ave (right next to the Fair Oaks Day School). The number is ###-###-####
I know there are some stables where they have horses and give lessons on Goforth right off of Northwest Highway by Flag pole hill Park. They are in the process of building an Equestrian center on Park Lane by Target next to Hank Haney golf and Putt putt. Hope this helps.
Hi! I know that they are planning on opening an equestrian center similar to the Las Colinas Equestrian Center. I am not sure when. You should try to call Las Colinas to ask if they have any information.
The new center is going to be on Park lane noth of Abrams.
