Some fun things to do:

Comedy Club
Bowling
Hockey Game (The Americans in Allen play almost every weekend)
Top Golf (www.topgolf.com/allen)

Lately we've been going to Benihana...where they cook the food right in front of you. It's a little pricey, but, fun and tasty.

This was years ago but when we were dating my husband and I would picnic (wine with cheese and fruit plate) in front of the Mustangs in Las Colinas, and then grab coffee at the nearby cafe overlooking the park area. I know its built up since then so I'm not sure if they allow "picnicers" anymore.

Something a little different that my hubby and I want to go do is one of the cooking classes at Central Market. I have done a knife class there by myself and had a great time. We thought one of their other classes might be a fun date night. They usually have a good variety of classes to choose from.

Get the book, "1001 Ways to be Romantic". It has some wonderful ideas that will fit in almost anywhere.

Sign up for groupon. They sometimes have interesting ideas at a discount.

Good luck to you and yours.

The Dallas area has great things to do. First of all, Good for your on making a date night. We believe it is a priority and we never miss a weekly date night. It is easier now since daughter is 17 and she is now a sitter. Boy, for many years, we were paying $60-$80 a week just for our date night sitter but it is well worth it!!

What do you like to do? We love fine dining and great wine. Some of our favorite restaurants for dinner are.... III Forks (more of a country atmosphere), Del Frisco's (more of a country club atmos[here), Ruth Chris (love the sizzling steak), Lawry's Prime Rib, Fogo de Chau in Addison (great salad bar and lot of different cuts of meats to try), Melting Pot in Addison.

The knox/Henderson area is very nice, around the Katy Trail. Uptown is good as well.

We enjoy sporting events, concerts at Fair Park, Bass Hall, AA Center

We love the festivals that start in the spring.. The Wildflower festival in May is a favorite. It is in telecom valley in Richardson.

Sometimes I just tag along with hubby and he plays a round of golf then we dine afterwards.

We are not big movie buffs but Studio Movie Grill is fun. There are some Indie film places at inwood (I believe it is still there) and the Anjelica is nice.

Shops of Legacy in Plano at the tollway and legacy has a lot of good places, Sambuca 360, Jasper's, Seasons 52 restaurant..

Sometimes it is nice to just sit quietly somewhere like the Arboretum and overlook the lake and enjoy scenery.

We are people watchers too and have a good time with that. No matter what you choose, just enjoy being together and having your date time.

We just had our first date in 10 months last weekend. We went to Knox-Henderson, had lunch at Chuy's (first time for me!), did some window shopping and eventually ended up at Sur La Table around the corner from Weir's. I just got on their website to check out the classes and it turns out they have a whole series titled "Date Night". The next one is this Friday. "Date Night: Winter in Spain". It's funny that SB suggested a similar thing.

I know learning a new skill has brought a lot of excitement back into our relationship. So...what do you like to do now? Do something else! My hubby and I got amorous over setting up our compost bin together.
