Thinking of Changing Day Care

I have friends whose children are enrolled at White Rock North School in the 1st and 2nd grades. Their kids did not attend prior to Kindergarten because they did not like the new daycare...don't know why. If you don't need full time care, there are several churches in Lake Highlands that offer a mother's day out program that might interest you. If you are, in fact, requiring full time care, there are not that many in this area that are good. Do you work outside the home? If so, where? You might want to consider looking for something close to your office. My daughter's preschool, Dallas Day School, has several families who work near downtown/uptown, but live in the Lake Highlands or Lakewood area. Dallas Day School is located at 4242 Office Parkway off Haskell Avenue across from Cityplace Market. My kids have been there for years and we love it.

My son went to White Rock North School for the first three years of his life. We loved it! They have roller skating, swimming, spanish and much more. Some of the teachers I liked were Gran (in the young two year old class), Rhonda Loudamy (she's very creative with her lessons), and Mrs. Burk. After leaving Gran's class, my son new the months of the year, the days of the week and the seasons in the correct order and was potty trained before he turned three. He also made lots of good friends. My second child was in the infant cottage till he was 7 months old, but we left because of the cost of having two kids in daycare. I definitely recommend it if you can afford it.

I recommend registered homecare at that age, but you do have to carefully research.

Have you looked at Bethel Early Learning Center on Northwest Hwy. & Jupiter OR Lake Highlands Presb. On Audelia at Northwest Highway? These 2 are very nice for infants.
