We are new in town and are looking for a good dentist for my husband and me. I have bad teeth and need someone who knows what they're doing. We live in close-in NE PDX, so someone near there would be great, but I'd travel a bit for quality. Thanks so much for any recommendations!

I don't have advice on a good dentist but wanted to let you know since you have a child that there are alot of fun moms groups for moms and there children on www.meetup.com and many fun at free libraries thru out mult. co. and while at the library they have free newspapers and magazine by the front door that have fun activities that are low cost and free.These magazines come out monthly and there are 3 or more.Welcome to Portland,Oregon!I think you will find a lot to do and never get bored.I am a stay at home mom and have a daughter thats 5 that just started kindergarten.I just like to pass on fun and free info.I don't work for any of the info. past on but use it.If you need info.or just want to get together you are welcome to ask.K. :"}

Hi Juiet,
I live in Milwaukie and go to Dr. Nimz on Mcloughlin at Mcloughlin Dental Care. He should be in the phone book. I haven't had any problems.
I can tell you where NOT to go also- Bright Now on 82nd in Portland- the dentist actaully yelled at me! And do not see Dr. Linn in Oregon City- he destroyed my friend's mouth. He was always putting in temporary fillings, never finishing the job.
Anyway, hope that helped!

Hi Juliet. My daughters and I go to Smiles on Sandy and have been going there since we moved to town in 2000. Dr. Marshak is one of the original owners (his dad just retired a year ago) and Dr. Daby is new to the office but seems very nice & great for kids (my 4yr old really likes him). Their phone # is ###-###-####. If you decide to go there, let them know that I referred you to them. My last name is McCauley. Happy dentist searching!

I have an absolute wonderful dentist! She's great for kids and adults! She's out across from Tuality Community Hospital which stinks (I live in SW PDX) but she's worth it! Her name is Mary Parent ###-###-####). I went to a dentist in WI that did NOT know what he was doing and she's even been able to repair his damage!
