Hello everyone,
Have any of you ever heard about Saladmaster cookware? I had a lunch prepared by them at my house today and was surprised by the quality of their cookware, the taste of the food and also price (really, really expensive). Does anyone know if they are as good as they say they are compared to other brands? Even if you don't know them specifically, what brand do you think is the best in your opinion? I am looking for something durable.
Thank you so much!

My mom bought saladmaster cookware before I was born and I'm 32. She brought them to my house when she moved in with us and we use them all the time. They are great!

I LOVE my Saladmaster cookware! It is quite expensive, but like others have said, it's extremely durable, and long-lasting. Also, you can have more demonstration dinners with other couples and receive other free pieces. Look on Craigslist and eBay if the price is too much for you. I've seen people selling them on there.

We've had our Saladmaster for about 4 or 5 years. We attended a demonstration and ended up ordering ours off e-bay for a much lower price. Good luck

My in-laws have Saladmaster cookware that they bought when my husband was just little (he is now 30) and it still looks brand new. Its great to cook on too, from what I can tell from family get togethers at their place.

I love to cook . . . A LOT!! LOL

I have All Clad cookware and don't think you could go wrong with it.

I also have an enamel cast iron dutch oven. I went with the Lodge on that. Same quality as the Le Creuset for about half the price!! Love it!

Everyone I know who has it loves it. One gal has had hers over 20 years and still loves it. I covet it and can't afford it. If you can afford it, I say go for it because it is great stuff.

I've never used Saladmaster, but we use Le Cruset and all-clad in our home, and they are heirloom-level pieces that cook beautifully!

My mom has a saladmaster set she bought at a home show when I was about 4 (I am 47 now). She still uses it to this day and just last year something happened to one of the lids and it was replaced free of charge.

ALL THAT SAID.......... MY favorite cookware is All Clad. NOT the Emeril one or other. The All-Clad Stainless. I think I paid about $120 for my first small pot but I loved it so much I went back and bought a set. I got mine at Dillards and paid $600+ for my set but I have no regrets and I still purchase more pieces separately when I see one I might like. I LOVE ALL-CLAD!!! I cook a lot and use these pieces. My pieces are not hanging up on a pot rack for display and never used (as the salesperson says a lot of women do). It still looks as good as it did the day I bought it.

Good luck and Happy Cooking!

Two of my friends have it and very happy with it. One made about 10 shows and earned the whole set for free, the other one got several items from shows and bought the rest. i have their salad master mashine, which i love. yes they are high-priced - someone have to pay for those gifts they give on the show... after many research and going deep into detailes of steel quality and other things i think there are other cheaper options, of course for cheaper quality, but still good cookwear. the other my friend got this set: http://www.angelfire.com/az2/waterless/KTSET10.html she is happy with it.
here is another option for a coockwear to think about http://cookware.mercola.com/Cookware.aspx
as for me i would buy it if i have free money to spend, but i don't, so i'm thinking between those two links i gave you.

Hi P.,

We purchased some (alot) of Saladmaster cookware and I have been very pleased with it. It has held up very well, cleans easily and I think what the rep said about it being a healthier way to cook was true. We plan to go back and get the griddle soon. Once we paid it off, the price became unimportant since we enjoy the quality so much. If you can afford it, I would say go for it!

BTW, my husband and I don't believe in saying, "I can't afford it", especially when it comes to our family's health. Instead, we ask "how can I afford it?" That's the beauty of being entrepeneurs...if we want more money for something, we just find a way to earn it rather than hoping and praying for the boss to give us a raise!

Best regards,

M.

It is not any better than a good stainless steel cookware. Amway sells one I have had for 25 years and it will be passed down to my grandchildren. It is Queens cookware and I can sell it to you at cost. I won't even take a profit because we sell Amway but do not run a business. I can help you look at it with a catalog and ask questions before ordering, but it is about 1200 for all you would ever need. I love mine and have seen all the others over the years and there is none better. Call me at ###-###-#### and I will just talk to you, no pressure. My daughter got hers on ebay for about 160.00 plus shipping!!! Can you imagine that? You could too. It would be worth trying and I'd pay up to 500 for a set on ebay if you found one. Then you would have it forever!

My parents bought some about 6 months ago and they love it! They have the Salad Master brand and now they actually do the dinners and sell the cookware. I have a similar brand which we bought 10 years ago when we first got married- they are still in excellent condition and work wonderfully- I love to use them! They are really worth the investment and they come with life time guarantees so if you ever have any problems with them you can replace them(we have never had any problem with any of our cookware).
My mom has Lupus, arthritis and heart problems- she says that she is feeling better from the food that is cooked in this cookware- she has more energy and she doesn't get as many "attacks" from her lupus and arthritis. You don't get any metal toxins from this cookware unlike cheap metal pots and pans, you don't have to use extra oils to cook with- they are non-stick without Teflon coating and because it is water-less cooking(basically steamed) you retain I think 95% of the nutrients of your food.
My parents are coming out next week from Arizona and while they are here they are going to do a couple of dinner shows for some of our friends.
You will love this cookware and not regret buying it- I think we spent $2000 on ours and it was a smaller set but came with the electric skillet(my favorite- I use it all the time!)
Plus they come with free cooking classes for life and have a really great customer support team that you can call any time with any questions and they will help you out. Also, they have their headquarters in Arlington- my parents are going to get a couple of passes to get a tour.
Anyway- I think it's really good cookware and they will last forever- my in-laws have the same brand as we do(they are made by the same company- I think Salad master is their newest line)and they have had theirs for about 30 years and they are still in great shape- they have never had to buy other pots and pans to replace any of the ones they have.
Hope this helps!

My parents bought a set for me for a wedding gift. That was 45 years ago this past April (and we are still married!). When a pan got something wrong with it--which was after 30 or so years, they replaced it. I cook the way Saladmaster taught me and we are healthier as a result. When I got mine, they had a lifetime warranty on it--and they've never failed. They even said that if I leave it to one of my children IN MY WILL, they will guarantee it for their lifetime as well. A while back, I sent a pan in because the place where the handle screwed into the pan rusted out and wouldn't hold the handle anymore. They replaced the pan and I saw that they've improved them so much. The handles are detachable now, and they are much nicer. I believe the cookware is worth every penny. You won't ever have to buy another pan.

Yes, it is very expensive and 35 years ago I bought it and I STILL have it today! It is excellent! Before they came to fix mmy roommate a dinner, I said (to them)
"No way I would ever spend this much money on cookware" and I bought the entire set. Would you be willing to send me their contact info as I would like to replace one of my pot, as I burned it up!!

I've never heard of them, however I did see a couple on Dr. Phil recently that had spent well over $3500 on cookware and they were so sorry they had gone into debt for it.

If it were me, I would do a little research on Consumer Reports and see what the best cookware is in their opinion.

Personally, I have cooked for many years with my Corelle Visions Ware and basic pots and pans people gave me when I got married. I am a simple person and am not impressed by Brand names. I just want something that works and lasts. I can guarantee you my cookware never has cost more than $300 combined over the past 26 years of kids/marriage/cooking. Good luck! B.
