Hi Everyone!!
You guys have all helped me out so much in the past, I thought I would get your opinion on a good inexpensive concealer. I have semi-dark circles from having a baby and it's heredity for me also. I used to use clinique but I was wondering if there is something just as good but cheaper??? Thanks again!

What can I do next?

I use the Maybelline liquid concealer. It's in a tube like Clinique. I think it's actually for wrinkles, but it works great for my dark circles. Another option is Merle Norman. I think it's kind of pricey too, but there's a concealer that I use for special occassions (since it's more expensive, I try to make it last) that is amazing. It's in a little compact and as you apply it it feels like powder (not wet or greasy like others I've tried).

I've tried a lot, from expensive (Bobbi Brown) to cheap (Maybelline & the like) and by far my favorite, recommended by my mother, is L'Oreal True Match. It's more thin/liquidy and has a brush (but I use my finger to dab it on), covers beautifully without getting cakey, stays on well, and a tiny bit goes a long way. I use it around my eyes and love it! I really think you'd be glad if you tried it. I think I bought it at Walgreens.

I also used to use Clinique, but it's gotten so expensive, I found alternatives that don't irritate my sensitive skin. I'm very pale and have those hereditary dark under eye circles too. I start by washing my face with Cetaphil bar soap, then apply the Cetaphil moisturizer with sunscreen.

I switched to L'Oreal Infallible Never Fail Makeup for my foundation. It provides all day perfect coverage and even hides those few stray freckles! It also has an SPF of 18. At Wal-Mart they have plastic cards you put against your inside wrist to choose the perfect color. It really works!

Once I put that on with a make-up applicating triangle, I dab a bit of Mabelline concealer under my eyes then apply a light dusting of loose powder (Clinique) with a large natural brush to set everything. I have perfect coverage that looks natural and blends perfectly with my skin. I highly recommend this for anyone with dark circles and/or splochy skin tones and sensitive skin.

Hope this helps!

Put me down for another Mary Kay vote. The tubes last a very long time and are well worth the money.

Besides just covering up the dark circles, make sure you're drinking pleanty of water and getting sufficient rest.

I love revlon. It is probably about $5, and it is more of a putty consistency, so the coverage is great. I have seriously dark circles all the time and it makes them disappear. It comes in a small square compact.

I don't about a concealer, but I have been using the Arbonne eye cream (I think it is called Eye Repair or something like that) and it works great. Almost all of the darkness has faded under my eyes and the puffiness has been reduced, too. My husband has very dark circles - also hereditary- and it has worked well for him too. I think it is about $30 or $40, but you use a very tiny amount so it lasts for about a year.

If you are looking for something just for under your eyes... Neutrogena UnderEye Corrector pen is awesome. Probably about $10 but it lasts for a while. It has a cooling sensation too that helps with puffiness. Anyway, I love it and I have always had dark circles and puffiness under my eyes. :)

Hi K., I think I have tried every concealer out there for my dark circles. I started about 3 months ago using Mary Kay concealer....and I'll never use anything else. It comes in a small tube, and I got the same shade as my makeup. It is great. People have actually been complimenting me on my pretty green eyes...I think before the dark circles were the main focus. Hi K.,

You should get a yellow concealer (like from Physician Formula or any brand) and just use a tiny bit under each eye. Just dap it on with your ring finger. Make sure not to use too much or it won't look right. If your circles are really dark, then apply your normal concealer over the yellow. But the yellow works really well. I use it alot on my clients.

I'd have to agree w/ Sara, I also used to use Clinique, and its expensive! The Neutrogena Under eye concealer works great, and the cooling sensation feels good.. I have dark purplish marks under my eyes, and it covers great, I got it at Wal-Mart :) Good luck!!

I use cover girl from wal-mart or any drug store. I get the kind that helps prevent zits also since I still get them. I have bought mary kay, clinique and also arbonne and always come back to this brand. It also feels good when you put it on. Only about 8 bucks or so. and one bottle lasts me a very long time.

The only concealer I used that worked was Dr Hauschkas, but it was not cheap. I would also like to mention that my "hereditary dark circles" disappeared when I had to stop eating and drinking any form of dairy while nursing 2 of my children. I have spent my entire teen to adult life covering my dark circles (at least since 7th grade), but when I stopped the milk I started noticing a few weeks into it that I didn't need to apply as much make-up. Eventually the circles disapppeared entirely and only reappear when I eat or drink dairy. It takes about 3 days of being off it for them to fade again. Good luck finding something that works or discovering your allergy. ;)

Hi K., I am a Mary Kay rep, and we have lots of different kinds of concealers. We have a pen that would work great for the under eye area. First time customers get a complimentary pampering makeover and 10% off their first purchase. I can give you a good deal on the concealer since you are wanting something cheaper.

It's hard to go to Walmart and get a good match. With Mary Kay I would personally match the right color for YOU. There is a 100% satisfaction guarantee also with all your purchases so you are never stuck with anything.

Email me at ____@____.com or call me at ###-###-#### and I will give you a free gift just for letting me match your concealer color!

Try sheer cover, you used to only be able to get it online but now it's at bed bath and beyond. I used to use the duo concealer and i loved it, i don't wear make up anymore it all seems to break my face out.

I get all my make-up from www.melaleuca.com as well as many other products. They really last a long time, you truly get what you pay for and they are just wonderful. I know you asked for inexpensive, concealer runs about $13 I think.
