I would highly recommend Susan Block who has a practice in Clayton. She used to be a Family Court Judge. She is kind and really knows her stuff. Good Luck.

I am actually going to say something you may not want to hear. I am a military wife, and used to be in the military myself. With the prospect of leaving for Iraq, he probably has been thinking of his own mortality and more about his child. He may be stationed in Alaska, but that doesn't mean that is where his parents live.
He wants to share custody, but while he is gone he can't have that, so in that time his parents have to have that. When my husband and I were both in the military (he still is and is currently in Iraq) we would have had to sign custody of our children to someone if we had both been deployed. It doesn't mean he wants custody and then won't take care of her forever. It just means while he's away they will be the ones playing with her and loving her and getting to know her. When he gets home he will.
Please don't take that chance away from him, and please don't put him through this battle before he leaves for Iraq.

Steve W., downtown St. Louis, does this type of work. I think that there can be special rules when one parent is in the military. ###-###-####.

I think that is a terrible thing to do, to take a child away from their mother and have the grandparents raise them. Why is he trying to do this if he isnt going to be around to raise her himself.

I dont think he will win this, unless he has good cause why you shouldnt have your daughter. They normally side with the mother and not go and give the kid to the grandparents.

Good luck

Hope all goes well.

Sorry really couldnt give much advice that could be helpful for you. I dont know any good attorneys.

Sorry to hear this is happening in your life and I do not know any attorneys. But let me tell you that he has to show you are unfit, unwilling and unable to care for your child.

Aaron Dubin located in Clayton is excellent. We feel he is the best for family court issues as my husband has used him for several custody cases with his ex regarding his children. You can say you were referred by Kevin and M. Ellard. Good Luck!
