Hi, I am expecting my second child in early July. My older boy will be almost 2 at the time. I am seriously considering purchasing the Bumbleride Indie Twin and was wondering if any mamas out there own it and have any comments they would like to share. Thanks.

What can I do next?

I am a Stroller Strides Instructor in the Chino area and the BOB double stroller is a great buy. It's sturdy, lightweight, and has individual seats side by side. Which is very important foe 2 little ones barely 2 years apart. Each seat has it's own shade and comes down pretty far so the it can provide the best shade even for itty bitty ones.

Hi there, I have the bumbleride Indie single and am slightly disappointed in it. I plan on selling it to get a Bob Stroller. I don't know what you plan on using the stroller for- it's a great stroller for everyday, however the shade barely stays up, the seat to lay back is flimsy and when you do jog with it- the front wheel wobbles even when it is in the locked position. From my conversations with others- Everyone has raved about the Bob. It is more sturdy than the Bumbleride and built much better. I would check into that. I think that the Bumbleride is a bit more frilly and Chic I suppose. I think the Bob is around the same price anyway.

I hadn't heard of this stroller, but I decided to check it out online (I'm always curious about stollers). It seems very similar to my Valco Baby Tri Mode Twin (which I LOVE), and is a similar price. One thing it does not have is a front bar for the kids (something my kids really like - they lean forward and hang on to it, you can also get an optional snack tray). My Valco also has several zip pockets around the stroller, in addition to the bottom basket, and they are very handy. But the adjustable foot rests on the Bumbleride are very cool and it folds up much easier than my Valco. If you find a double stroller that has all that you need, it is definately worth it to pay more money. I suffered through several less expensive double strollers before I realized it was going to cost a bit more to get something truly functional. And I'm so glad I did. If there is any way you can test the stroller before buying it, that is very helpful (and try to get both seats occupied when you test it - it makes a difference). Good luck!

My kids are 14 months apart in age.

I haven't tried the Bumbleride Indie Twin, but I encourage people if they are like me, small had c-sections or going to have a c-section delivery, to get the lightest stroller possible.

Bumbleride looks great, but isn't built to last. It'll break on you as it does with many who buy this brand. They're located in San Diego, so getting parts should be easy enough.

I recommend Baby Jogger City Elite. It's a little pricey, but is built to move mountains, has a very high weight capacity, and the best shade canopy out there. It's the same company that makes the rental strollers for Disneyland, so you know it can take a beating.

I got mine from albee baby.com. They had the best price, but that was quite a few months ago.

Congratulations!!!

Strollers are such a personal choice and everyone has their own opinion based on their own lifestyle. I own OC Travel Tykes in San Clemente and we provide free stroller consultations. We carry the Indie twin, BOB, Baby Jogger and many others. You can come in and check them all out side by side to compare and see which would suit you best. You can even rent one for the day to ensure it's the right one for you. If you aren't close to our area we can still give you a consultation over the phone to help answer your questions.

Best of luck and congrats on the new baby!
