I'm ordering some Hanna Anderson undies for my daughter but she wants boy undies. She's all boy and I'm fine with that, but am unsure if they will fit her ok?

What can I do next?

My daughter has a couple pairs of boys undies. They fit just fine. She's 4 years old and average sized.

I have a couple pairs of men's boxer briefs for myself. They are far more comfortable than girly panties and fit just fine.

Boy undies are actually the same as girl except there is an opening in them........if you are ok with it and it is what she wants, go ahead and get them for her.

I buy my daughter boys shirts because she wants dinosaurs, but I think I'd draw the line at underwear. Don't boy's underwear have y-fronts? I wouldn't want to explain that to my child (okay, so I'm a prude, and I'm not ashamed to say that my 7 year old has no clue)...and I don't think they would quite fit right, honestly. Boys pants seem to be sewn a little differently in that area as well.

They'll fit her fine. I've borrowed briefs from the men in my life when my own undies went AWOL, and they fit fine.

They will work just fine. My daughter wanted undies like her brother and Daddy, I guess she felt left out. So I bought her some boxer briefs. She loves to wear them. She says they are "super comfy". I haven't noticed too much of a size difference...but we only have the one package of boxer briefs, so regular undies may be different.

Hanna is made roomy so they should fit fine. Kudos to you for embracing your child's preferences.

Boy's underwear or boy shorts. Either way, my book. I think boy shorts are super comfortable.

You will probably want to order a size down that what you think she'll need. I have a son and a daughter and I've found that boys clothing is cut wider and roomier than girls. A size 5 in opposite sex clothing is very different! And I suppose that's fine in some ways, but in others it seems extreme!

At least order both sizes and send the wrong ones back.

Honestly? My one and only daughter has been known to sport a pair or two of her older brothers' hand me down undies (only the cutest pairs tho)....and there isn't much cuter than a lil' girl butt in lil' boy undies---besides maybe a lil' girl butt in lil' girl panties! Seriously tho, think Cameron Diaz in 'Charlie's Angels' dancing around in her boy undies...totally fine!

My daughter is 4 (almost 5) and they fit her just fine, she has a couple favorite pairs of regular boy briefs and a couple favorite pairs of boxer briefs.
They lay flat, no problem with the extra 'pooch' as another poster said. She does wear a size 4-5 in girls clothes but the brothers' undies are all a size 3T...so you might want to keep that in mind, I do think they run a lil' bit bigger.

~I think I will forever have a mental image of my one and only girl (who has 4 older bros and 2 boy cousins) this summer in her 'favorite Mickey Mose' briefs and a red tank top! So adorable!

Boy shorts for girls might be better. Even boy boxers are fine. Your not talking tighty whities are you....lol I have no idea.

I don't see why this should be a problem. My own daughter prefers boy swimsuits (surf jams) and rash guards, because she feel too exposed in girl swimsuits, and hates the way they ride up in the rear. Perhaps this is your daughter's problem with girl underpants as well?

I wouldn't do it. Boys underwear is made for a boy's anatomy. There's extra material in the front to accommodate a "pooch" in the front and she's got nothing there to take up the space.

Instead, get her boy shorts underwear.

I wouldn't give in to this, I really wouldn't. If she wants to wear boy clothes on the outside, fine. But she needs to wear girl underwear on the inside.

my two nieces only wear boys undeware. i guess they are cut differently and fit them better, now they aren't sporting star wars, usually disney characters, but either way, they have been wearing boys since potty trained (they are 3 & 4).
