I'm having 25 or so people over after the Christening and don't know where to get catering from. Any suggestions?

We use a place called Lonigan's. They are in Chicago, but they deliver to Lockport. We have been using them for 8 years and 3 of my neighbors have used them. The food is great and the price is good. I'm sorry that I do not have their phone number handy, but you could find it at switchboard.com.

We're going to do Portillos for my son's Christening - beef, mostacolli and salad. Simple and easy and GOOD!

Fox's - they have a few locations. The one I know of is in Mokena but I also believe they have Orland and I imagine they'd deliver out to Lockport. Portillo's is always good! Pizza Mia in New Lenox may deliver out in that area too.

Try Cutting Edge Catering. I have never used them for home, but my work uses them all of the time. I believe they are around Lockport - I work in Romeoville.....

Congrats on the Christening! My oldest daughter just made her First Communion last Saturday - it just seemed like yesterday that we had her Baptised! :)

....If you want to do some things yourself - we always pick up a salad from Olive Garden. They say it only feeds 6 ppl, but I think that is if you are only eating salad! The bowl is huge! Plus, for $15, you get a dozen breadsticks and that great Italian dressing. It is worth it! We had about 30 people at the First Communion and we only used 1 bowl (order)!

Good luck and have a wonderful day!

Hi A.,

You may want to try Sue Kainrath at ____@____.com or visit her on her website at http://neighborhoodgourmet.com. Sue's an awesome chef/caterer as I used her in the past. She lives in the Lockport area and also writes from time to time for the Homer newspaper. Good Luck! Kim M

I've used a place in Homer Glen called Big Jim's several times. They have good food, a good selection, and are reasonably priced. Congrats and good luck!
