Ameriplan

I worked (until recently) in the health care industry, and dealt with insurance claims...or figuring benefits for clients. Ameriplan, is a joke. Ameriplan claims there are all these providers that accept their plan, and I don't know how they get away with that claim. I have never come across ONE single Dr. in my area, who accepts Ameriplan. I went to their website and searched their provider list for my area. Two of the doctors I worked for were listed, and I know for a fact (since I did until very recently...ALL their billing) they do NOT accept Ameriplan.You will essentially be selling plans, that most people can't use.
Is working for them a scam? I don't know. Search the internet for any article and review on them you can find.

I have a background in health insurance as well as working for hospitals and medical professionals.
I have seen the employment opportunities for Ameriplan. The first thing I did was check to see if there are any providers in my area that accept the discounts offered. There aren't any. It would have been a complete waste of time for me to look into it any further.
There are legitimate prescription discount plans that are accepted by chain pharmacies, but those plans can be purchased directly online. They don't have sales people who market them.

I can't speak to whether or not the company is legit, but like I said, why try to sell something that no one in my area could even use?

Good luck in your search. Finding true opportunities that you can earn money at from home is a daunting venture.

I looked into it a while back too and it didn't seem to be a good way to earn money. For one, you have to pay $50/month for their website. And then the plans they offer aren't even insurance, they're just discount plans. In cases when you don't have insurance the hospital most likely offers a self pay discount anyway. If you're selling something you want to believe in the product and I just couldn't see this as viable.

You know the saying..... If it sounds too good to be true....

Most things like this are some sort of MLM or direct sales scheme to sign you up, you recruit, sell, invest and the money goes to whomever signed you up. That is how these things work..

You'll also (already have) be hit up here with other people recruiting for their sales teams and trying to sign you up. BE CAREFUL
