We got a Wii for Christmas :) We Love it. Especially the 5 year old, and once-in-a-while, the 1 1/2 year old plays. Has anyone gotten "Wii" fit? I'de like to hear all stories; good, bad, and indifferent. Thanks and I hope everyone had a great Christmas.

So What Happened?

Thank you for all the feedback. It was all so encouraging and positive that we rushed out and bought Wii fit plus with the board. We all Love it. Of course, it told me and hubby that we are both obese. We didn't want to hear it, but now we have actual fitness goals for the first time ever. Heidi was right about keeping the littlest one off the board, and the five year old loves it. he competes along with us and even holds first and second place a couple times. Now it remains to be seen how our fitness progress goes. We are, after all, role models now... :)

We love it!! We got it for the kids last year for XMAS. It has a lot of fun games and you don't even realize you are working out!

We got the Wii Fit when it first came out and we were always on it, until our TV broke. We even got the Active for the Wii Fit. We love it because you can set goals and keep track of your progress. I can't wait to get our TV fixed so I can get to exercising for the new year. Good Luck and have fun.

I just got a wii fit for Christmas too. I'm still figuring it out but having lots of fun. I just did the obstacle course last night and that was really fun...although it wasn't very nice when it told me I was overweight...hello I just had a baby LOL...otherwise I'm liking it!

We got our Wii a few months ago, and I got the Wii Fit Plus the day it came out! I love it! I need to do better about playing it every day or at least every other day. I love to do the yoga and some of the strength training exercises. And if you like to do several of those, you can setup your own routine so that you can just click start and go through your routine without having to click "next"!

I love all of the games they added in the Plus version. It's more fun to exercise when it's a game! Then you can challenge your friends & family to beat your score!

Wii Fit Plus is probably one of my favorite games on the Wii. I also like Animal Crossing & Mario Party! :)

LOVE the Wii fit! And I just got the Wii fit plus. It is great. I am not sure if the 5 year old will get into the yoga and training-you will though! He will like some of the activities I am sure.

We too, got a Wii for Christmas but my older children have been playing on my sister-in-laws every time they are at her house. My oldest two really love Wii Fit, they are 8 and 6. Their favorites are the balance games which they have gotten pretty good at. They also enjoy the running races. The yoga is fun once or twice to them but them gets really boring. The stregth training so far has held little interest. I enjoy it too, I like that it shows you what to do and that your score is competed against others but it also shows you when you beat your own personal best. We recieved the Wii Fit Plus for Christmas but hav e yet to get it out as we just returned home but I look forward to it. A side note my just turned 4 year old wants to do the Wii Fit games but gets frustrated as his timing is off and he isn't coordinated enough to do it yet and our 2 year old has to be told not to jump on the board.

I have the Wii fit and love it! It has a lot of fun stuff, as well as the basics. There is Yoga and Strength training...but there is also Balance and Aerobic sections which have games that provide a workout. You would be amazed how much hula hooping will make you sweat! The one downside has been that you have to choose a new exercise after each one, so the workout is a bit broken up, unless I just didn't see that feature yet. I just got the Wii fit plus and haven't tried it yet, but it is supposed to have additional features for creating a workout.

Hi K.,
I don't have either, but a couple good friends have it. One friend has EA Sports Active which she thinks is better than the WII Fit. She likes it better because it has something that goes around you leg so you aren't confined to the board like with WII Fit. She says she gets a better workout. Again I don't know much about it, just wanted to give you something to compare. Good luck.
