We have the Wii fit plus, bought it in January, you know New Year's resolutions and all LOL! I used it religously everyday from Mid January until the Olympics started ( I stopped exercising because i wanted to watch the olympics in my spare time) But I love it!! It keeps track of the time you workout and the calories you burn, it weighs you and keeps track of your BMI and weight loss and helps you set goals. The "workouts" are fun and more like games, I feel like I'm playing not exercising and they work! I kept myself to a diet of 1400-1600calories/day and that with the 30 minute workout time on the Wii fit Plus I lost 15pounds and a pants size in that time period from about January 15th til whenever the Olympics started, not sure what that day was. Whats really cool is I have mantained that weight ever since. I just started back on it again this week and I am sore, didn't realize how good of a workout it was until I wasn't used to it anymore! I would wholeheartedly reccomend it!!

I like the Wii Fit Plus. Pros: It was very motivating. It was the first time I've ever excercised consistently. It really got me & my family moving. I really like that you can track your activity, even if it isn't on the Wii. There's a good variety of different activities that are fun, balance games, yoga, strenth training & aerobic. Cons: the weight seemed to be off a bit on it. It judges children like adults, using a scale that tells them they are "overweight" or "obese". Unfortunately, I've hurt my back pretty bad & haven't been able to use it in a while. I'm looking forward to getting back on.

We also like the Outdoor Challenge. It comes with a mat & has games like jumprope, kayaking & mole-stomping. I can get a really good work out & it's fun, too.

I love wii fit plus. I don't do it all the time, but it is fun and I like that you can set a routine with strength and yoga moves. I also like that it can keep track of your weight, etc and you can set a goal if you are trying to loose weight, but overall I just like the activity and it is great on a rainy day. The games are also a lot of fun and we will try to beat each others top scores. Wii sports is also fun, some of the games feel like you are getting a good workout.

I'm horrible at keeping a regular schedule of it, but I love our Wii Fit Plus! It's got a lot of different games that are fun. I don't like to run, but I like to play the "obstacle course" on Wii Fit Plus. And the step aerobics is cool. You can even watch something else on TV while you step to the beat playing thru the remote!

For the yoga & strength training, you can set up your own routine to go through them more easily/quickly instead of stopping in between to pick out the next one. I stuck with a few diff routines for several weeks & could tell a difference. I could tell when I could do more of the same exercise. Just wish I had kept up with it longer! lol I just don't have much free time :(

But I definitely recommend the Wii Fit Plus! :)

We also have the Wii Fit Plus... and its great..... fun and simple to use.
Also it keeps track of your own progress.

But like anything else to lose weight... you need to do it regularly and consistently. If not, nothing will work.

I do not have the Wii Fit Plus but I have the original Wii Fit. I do think that the Wii Fit does provide a workout and makes it fun but I don't think it works you out hard enough. It could maybe be a starting point to get you moving at first.

My recommendation would be for the Wii game Active. It is the one that gives you that leg band to hold the nunchuck. It basically had a personal trainer built in. You choose your level and it switches all the activities up for you, just how the professionals recommend. I would give you how much weight I lost, etc but unfortunately I gave myself 2 stress fractures in my legs working out. Don't worry, I have a vitamin difficiency and was running on too hard of a surface. I just have to work myself back up to using the Active again.

If you do decide to get the Jenny McCarthy, Your Shape game, let me know how that is. I am curious and was considering getting it. I just have to work myself up to a more rigorous workout.

Good Luck!!
