Looking for warehouses that sell tile and travertine etc.... at much lower prices than I could find at Lowes or Home Depot.

Thanks!

So What Happened?

Mama's,
I truly appreciate ALL the feedback I have received for this one particular request. I realize how simple it is to just open up the pages of my 5 inch thick yellow book and look for a place that sells tile. (Where by the way NOT everyone advertises) However, I know I can always count on the mamas on this forum who have personal experience with businesses and services they have received in the past. Mamas who are willing to offer their feedback whether it be positive or negative are SO wonderful!! I just love mamasource for that very reason.
Thanks again!!

I buy most of my tile at Floor & Decor; there's one in Plano but a number of them around town; look them up on the internet. thanks and good luck.

Try Seconds and Surplus or Builders Supply Warehouse. In Fort Worth there is a Habitat for Humanity store that sells leftover building materials so you might also find something there.

My husband and I bought travertine for our shower at a reasonable price at 'Seconds and Surplus'. I think they have several locations but the one we went to was at 909 Regal Row in Dallas. This is just off 183 heading East towards Dallas. Its a great place to buy all kinds of home stuff, including tile and flooring. Good Luck

Sometimes in this tech age we forget to use the yellow pages. They are in there. You can also find them in online directories like www.yellowpages.com. If you have identified a tile that you like, you can call and ask them if they carry it and their price on it. Negotiate. Good luck.

Floor & Decor (Emerald in Dallas), USA Tile (Forest I think), Seconds and Surplus (Empire Central) and several other tile places near 35/Royal/Harry Hines in Dallas. It is fun looking for a good deal. Remember with most of these places to buy extra since they are dealing in closeouts and typically won't have the same materials when you go back to shop again. Good luck.

We used to use Geds (the one off 360), but my mother in law found a floor store in Kennedale that is even cheaper. I am not sure if they have travertine. Let me know if you want the name and I will ask her.

Hi Proud M
Go to Wayne's Carpet in Aubrey. They sell all types of flooring, they have a great selection and their prices blow Home Depot and Lowes away!
The entire staff is so friendly too!
Here's their link: http://www.waynescarpet.com/
Let me know if you have any questions or need directions!
