Where is the best place to buy hardwood floors in the Lewisville / Flower Mound area? Is it best to use the company you purchase the floors from for installation? Any ideas on cost per square foot for installed handscraped floors? We are just stating to look so I am trying to get an idea of where to go and what my budget needs to be.

What can I do next?

Hi K.,

You're in luck! I'm a Realtor in Flower Mound and have a great company I can refer you to. They did my floors personally and have done many of my friends/clients. They are real hand-scraped wood and they do everything from taking up the old carpeting to installing, staining and hand scraping the new flooring. I believe the cost is about $8-$8.50/sq ft, which is much better than what you'll find at the retail stores. The company name is Texas Traditional Wood Floors and the contact is Kathy Grover. Her number is ###-###-####. You won't find a better deal.

Good luck!

There are several types of "handscraped" hardwood floors now. You can get some pre-finished varieties for about $8 on the low end, but the real thing is always goind to be $10-12/sq.

We just got an estimate from Empire Today last week for 920 sq ft and the price was around $10,000

A friend just got an estimate for handscraped wood and it was around $8 per sq. ft. I think the total cost for 600 square feet was around $8000.00.
