My little girl scout is going to a daddy daughter sock hop. What should she and her daddy wear? hub said he should wear a black tee shirt and jeans.. any better ideas??
for Dad: black slacks w/ white oxford or jeans with white t-shirt, sleeves rolled up. Penny loafers either way; hair slicked back with oily gel
for daughter: poodle skirt, white oxford, penny loafers and white bobby socks. Coordinating scarf around neck.

Is it a 50's sock hop? If yes it's like the movie/musical Grease, and jeans and tee would be fine.
Our GS father daughter dances often had themes and we always put a dress code on the invite: dressy, island style, cowboy wear, etc. If the organizers didn't specify then ask your leader, or whoever is in charge.

Are they describing it as a 50's sock hop? I'd so then yes jeans and white t shirt for dad. Little black comb in his back pocket and Chuck Taylor high top tennis shoes. Poodle skirt or blue jeans rolled up to Capri pants length for daughter and skarf tied around her neck. Hair in a pony tail.
But check with the office to be sure. They called all the dances sock hops at our grade school.
