I usually like anything with vanilla year round.
I also like apple cinnamon spice or pumpkin spice in the fall.
Balsam pine for around Christmas.
In the spring, citrous (lemon/orange), melon or lilac.
I didn't realize my scent preferences were so seasonal.

I only buy and burn Partylite candles. Love Ginger Pumpkin during anytime of the year, Ocean Mist, Honeydew and Strawberry Rhubarb are my favorite!

My son bought me two all-natural, beeswax scented candles for Christmas - "Eggnog" and "Holiday Cookie". They both smell like 1000 calories! My husband got me the Diptyche Baies candle, which is a rose based smell. It's also divine!

Although I prefer the fattening, sugar laden smells a bit more...if I'm not going to eat/drink it, at least I can smell it.

I know you asked favorite scents, but IMHO, Partylite candles are the best by far. They burn completely down to the little metal wick disk and nothing is left...love it! Unlike some candles I won't mention by name that leave at least 1/4 of the candle left in the bottom and are super expensive.

Ok, now my favorite scents...I recently decided to do some wickless candles and bought a couple of scentsy pots. My favorite scents are Home Sweet Home, Perfectly Pomegranate, Sweet Pea and Vanilla and Black Raspberry Vanilla.

Funny side note, my hubby is much more of a candle person than I am. He actually goes around and lights the candles, almost every night. =)

I love Yankee Candle "Fluffy Towels" and Yankee Candle "Christmas Cookies" (during the holidays of course).

I've never had luck with other brands of candles so I'm glad to see your suggestions.

I like lavender, too, and roses. I also tend to like the "yummy" fragrances, such as Christmas cookies and birthday cake. And one day someone gave me a lemon custard-scented candle that was truly wonderful....

Macintosh Apple or Home Sweet Home from Yankee. I also love a 3-wick I got by Slatkin from Bath & Body Works. I forget the name of it, but it's gray in color & smells almost like an outside wood fire burning. It takes me back to being a little girl & going camping with my grandparents in the Adirondak Mountains for 1 week every summer.

I love Apple Cinnamon and Apple. Lavendar is nice if it isn't too strong and Lilac is also lovely.

Glade Cranberry-something. Can't remember the exact name but it has cranberry in it. Makes the house smell amazing.
