For the last 3 years we have been meeting our family on vacation and our flights are always so much more. We are going to Disney in August and I can't find a flight cheaper than 360, they are paying 230 from NY. Are there any small airlines that go there that are not on expedia, and orbitz. Do you think a travel agent will get a better fare.

What can I do next?

I don't know of a specific airline, but I read just the other day that Tuesdays are the day of the week when airfare is cheapest. You may try that. Good luck!

1st off. DFW is one of the most expensive airports to fly in and out of. My bf's husband is an air marshall and he says it as well.

My daughter and i flew to disney last summer. bought tickets 8 weeks in advance and got them for about $200 roundtrip a peice.

I found mine through www.travelzoo.com that is where i get everything travel based now. I also try southwest and american

You may want to also try priceline.com. American Airlines right now, has a roundtrip fare for $223.00/203 in the summer. Here is the kicker you have to fly from DFW to Orlando in the morning between 6 - 9 am. You can only come back from Orlando between 6-9pm. The only thing is if it's still available on the days you want to travel. You may want to check AA.com or call them directly. I'm not sure how many are traveling but be open to part of the family flying on one flight and the rest leaving on a second flight.

Best of luck to you.

Hi,

I spoke with someone recently who told me she and her family of five flew to Orlando for about $800 for all of them on Southwest Airlines. She said they flew out of Dallas Love Field. She said it was really easy.

Also, keep in mind the prices are going to start going up according to my friend whose husband is a pilot for US Air.

Good luck!
