Hi ladies. I see so many of you that are WAHM, I was just wondering what it is that you're doing that has allowed you to stay home yet still make money. I'm going nuts trying to find a legit work-at-home job - one that I don't have to pay to do! I should tell you in advance that I've already done the Mary Kay / Avon deal, as well as Quixtar, Melaleuca, Amway, and Herbalife. Apparently sales isn't my thing! Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance!

So What Happened?

I made myself a pair of earrings a few months ago for a special occasion and people loved them so much that I started making jewelry and other beaded items to sell, so now I'm trying to get into weekend markets and whatnot to try to make some extra money that way - and I'm having a blast doing it!

I have truly found a blessing in Mary Kay - I know a lot of people think it's too good to be true and I have to admit I thought it would never work at first, but it has worked great for my family. Allowing me to quit my corporate job and stay at home on my hours! I would love to tell you all about it - no pressure I promise! Or you can check it out at http://www.marykay.com/lauraguibord/startabusiness/defaul...

Let me know what you think - I'm always here to answer any questions you may have!

L.,

I am so bummed that you did not get responses to your questions. I too have wondered the same thing. I have a very well-paying job and good education, and I thought if there was something out there that was legit, I should be able to do it. I just can't jusify quitting for something that isn't really legit and can bring in some money. The few mentioned are not for me either. I have been looking hard, but haven't found anything else. I hope you find something. I am going to continue to look. If I find something, I will let you know, and I hope you'll let me know if you do too.

Hi L.,

I work for Primerica which is a subsidiary of Citigroup. We help people get out of debt and financially independent. if you're looking for a work at home "job" than you're pretty limited to an office job that they would let you do from home, or a home based customer service agent like liveops. I looked into virtual assistants and they are available but the jobs are so few and far between that it's not steady income. I wouldn't say that sales isn't your thing. You just haven't found your thing and you just need to keep trying things until you can plant your flag somewhere. I too did Arbonne, Herbalife, Kat's Coffees, and Liveops before settling into Primerica. The tough thing is with Avon and Tupperware and those companies is that you have to "sell" products to people that typically don't need them. It's like selling vacuum cleaners door to door. I will say that with Primerica, people tell us what they want to accomplish financially and we recommend solutions. Find something that fulfills a need and something you love and you'll be wealthy in no time. Good luck!!!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all well. I have done sales also, with several different companies. I am currently a consultant with PartyLite. The company is great, and we are a "consumable" product. Which means, as people use our products, they need to re-order. The candles are wonderful and make great gifts. Also, with the "power outage" they are great. If you would like more information, contact me. Have a great week!
