For years, I have always bleached the hair on my upper lip. I have been thinking about waxing it instead. What are your experinces with waxing? Will I be able to go back to bleaching if I change my mind?

What can I do next?

I have waxed for years and very happy with the result. The area stays smooth for at least a few weeks. I suppose you could still bleach it when it grows back, I don't know why you wouldn't be able too. Be aware the first few times it does hurt- like a band-aid being ripped off- but after you have been doing it for a while the area gets a little less sensitive.

There is a product called Microtweeze that works great. You heat it in the microwave for a minute or so, apply the wax with a little spatula, pat it til it dries and then yank it off. No strips to mess with and saves you a bunch of money. It only hurts for a second. It is under $10 and you can use it for months. Buy the small jar though because it is too hard to get the consistency just right on the big jar, too thick, too hot and runny. I use a toothpick to apply to small areas like eyebrows.

I have waxed for a long time. I love it, and the hair has almost completely quit growing in on my upper lip and where I had my brow waxing. You can always change your mind and the hair will growth back. What's nice, it is usually much finer than before.

Go for it. I go to school at Clary Sage in Tulsa and have recently learned to wax. It doesn't make it grow back darker or thinker. We do it at the college for really cheap and the girls are all great.
