Visiting New Orleans with 2YO

We booked a cheap flight to New Orleans this February and were wondering if anyone had any tips for places to go. I found the common touristy places and will be fine trying them, but thought we'd see if anyone knew of child friendly restaurants or places to listen to music, fun sightseeing places, or anything else you can recommend. Thanks!

I just came back, we have family down there and go all the time, The zoo is different from our zoo in Dallas, it has Swamps so we went there, and the French Quarter is good (during the day of course) and the river walk.
