Hi there... My husband is looking into having a vasectomy. We had our second child in October and we know our family is complete. We are looking for referrals if you have had a great experience. Looking for a doctor in the Plano area. Also, would be helpful if your doctor accepted Cigna Health insurance and was an "in office" procedure. Thanks so much for any referrals you may have!

Dr. Mark Allen is excellent. Both my husband and I have used him. He has an office in both Plano and Frisco and does surgery at both. We've used him for 10 years for various issues (including surgeries) and he has always done great! I don't have his number off hand, but I'm sure he's on the list!

My husband saw Dr. Reginald Trentham and had no issues. This was back when our daughter was 2 and she is now 14 so I don't know if he is still around or not. He is a good surgeon.

Secondly, I saw Dr. Mark Allen during my pregnancy several times and really liked him.

All I can say to your hubby is FOLLOW THE DR ORDERS NO MATTER HOW YOU FEEL!!!!

Hi S.

My husband just went to Dr. Wierschem located at 1220 Coit Rd Plano, TX. Phone is ###-###-####. They are very nice there and it was an in-office procedure that took maybe a half hour. Good Luck!

Hi. My husband had his done 5 years ago with Michael G. Wierschem, MD. He is part of the Collin County Urology group. He has an office in Plano and Frisco. My husband was very happy with his in-office experience. I don't know if he accepts Cigna, or not. My husband had a very easy recovery compared to some other men he knows. I really think it paid off for him to follow exactly what the post-op orders were. The frozen bag of peas really helped to keep the swelling down and pain to a very bare minimum. My husband has a low pain tolerance and he handled it great. Good luck!

We used Dr Michael Gross, as did my neighbor and our best friend. He is great and makes everyone comfortable. Just tell your hubby to make sure and listen to the dr, NO MATTER WHAT! My husband decided to go grocery shopping immediately after becuase he felt fine and that made his healing a little more painful.
