V Smile Versus v Smile Motion

Just curious if anyone has purchased either the V-Smile or V-Smile Motion items for their little ones? My daughter is 2 and a half and very smart. I wanted something that would challenge her and keep her attention. She "plays" video games with her dad (pretends with the controller) I have seen some reviews about the graphics & stuff, but she is 2, I don't expect perfection from a $40-60 console for 3-7 year olds. Any feedback, good or bad is greatltly appreciated.

What can I do next?

We have the V Smile.. and my twin daughters are 5 and love it.. the games can be challenging, but they are getting the hang of moving the characters around... The controls on the "old style" V Smile are a little more bulky than those of the V Motion that I have seen in the stores. The games for the VSmile work in both I believe....
check out the Leap Frog and VTech web sites for age appropriate games for her..

I bought the V smile handheld and the one that plugs into the tv and both stop working after a couple of uses. My son was not rough with them either. I exchanged them and the new ones did the same them. I just ended up getting my money back. This year we are trying the Leapster. I have heard better reviews on it.

Get her a leapster. The graphics are better and they are portable you can take it in the car or you can plug it in to the tv.

we have the v-smile pocket since we travel a lot (due to military) so he can use it in the vehicle as well as using a tv. The issues we have had with it is that sometimes it just wont turn on. Reminds me of the nintendo and nintendo 64...basically the older ones that no longer work very well. The games are a bit challenging (we had to walk him through how to do some of the stuff because he had never played any form of video games before--and he was 4 then).

I would also look to the "wii" since your child gets to actually do more than just sit there, im not sure on the "educational" parts though. One day we will break down and buy it, i got to play it once and I loved it and this new "wii fit" sounds fantastic minus the price ;)
