Unscented Training Pants

I agree with Sue. I bought the old fashion cloth training pants. I wanted my kids to feel the mess they made in the pants. I wanted them to be uncomfortable. I also bought my daughter fancy panties and told her she couldn't wear them until she went peepee and poopoo in the potty. Took a weekend! I had a package left over that I never opened. We also bought her princess panties and days of the week panties. She was a slave for cute undies. Which would explain why she loves Victoria Secrets now!

just switch her over to those old-fashioned thick cloth training pants....& cover them with plastic liners.

It's truly the quickest way to potty-train! Been doing this for 25 years & I hate pull-ups! They simply delay the process.....

The inital outlay can be pricey but over the long haul, cloth trainers are more economical and IMO work better/quicker.

Walmart has them in a bigger package they are carried on the very bottom of the shelves @ least all 3 in town do,I used to use them now I use Dillons (Comforts they are decorated with frogs/flowers) & Dollar General because they fit more like underwear they don't have a velcro closure to them.I buy the small packs 2T-3T 26 in a pack I buy them weekly.She prefers to just wear her big girl undies but that is for home not near ready to wear them out in public she just turned 2.

Seventh Generation sells nonscented training pants (unisex). We used them for my son. You can buy them @ Whole Foods (they also sell their own brand of training pants which are also unscented) and some Kroger's sells them (usually where they sell their organic products). Diapers.com sells them as well and you can buy in bulk and you get free shipping if you purchase a certain price.

Have you considered keeping her in diapers? My daughter is also 22 months and we're potty training as well, and she can take her diaper off faster than they underpants. If we do put her in underpants (the Seventh Generation ones), they rip really easy so we can't reuse them. We are usually lucky when it comes to diapers and can put it back on after she goes in the potty (if it's a clean diaper).

I haven't read the other comments so I don't know if someone else suggested this, but you might be interested in cloth training pants. (Full disclosure, I sell cloth diapers and trainers in my store, but we also use them for our kids). My 5 year old still wets at night so we have him in the Happy Heiny Pocket Trainers. These are a training pant that you can customize the absorbency with different inserts. We use a LOT of absorbency over night and his bed stays dry. With my 2 year old (now 3 and potty trained) we used a brand called SuperUndies. They were a little trimmer and fit better under her clothes. They can be pulled on and off or unsnapped on the sides for big messes, and the absorbency is also customizable.

If she is going to need pull ups for a long time then it sounds like she isnt quite ready to potty train. She should really only need pull ups for a week tops during the day and maybe a few months at night but even then you wouldnt need to many pull ups. I would go with the cloth toddler undies item and the plastic covers.

I use the Seventh Generation ones. They are hard to find in my area, but Buy Buy Baby has them. They are really good at preventing leaks...the other brands always leak for my son.
