Time for a Vasectomy

My DH and I have decided long ago that my husband would get a Vasectomy when we were finished having children. We have 2 awesome girls and we are ready to be finished. Does anyone know of a great Urologist? OR is there someone we should stay away from? We live in the Katy area, but I really don't want to open the phone book to find someone.

What can I do next?

Hi P.. We used Dr. Andrew Selzman @ Memorial City Herman. The info is 915 Gessner Rd Ste 720 Houston, TX 77024-2530
###-###-####. He used the non Scalpel technique and there were no stitches. My husband felt relieved and the doctor had a great sense of humor. Good Luck.

My husband also had his vasectomy performed by Dr. Andrew Selzman @ Memorial City Hermann. I went to the appointment with my husband and Dr. Selzman even let me watch the procedure. It was amazing. The "no scalpel" method he uses meant no stitches and no bleeding. The whole thing took about 15 minutes. He chatted and explained to me what was going on and made a few jokes along the way. I left thinking to myself it is a shame he didn't become an OB/Gyn instead! You would be amazed to know what an incredibly simple procedure it is. My husband had only very mild swelling that lasted a day or 2 and he checked out clear at the follow-up visits. Everything about his performance, sensations and "staying power" is the same as before. We highly recommend Dr. Selzman!

My husband just had a vasectomy very recently here in Katy and he said the urologist was great. Now, we haven't gone back for the tests yet to determine sterility, but so far he has healed very well. It's Dr. Paul Cook at Memorial Urology Associates off of Grand Parkway. Good luck

My husband was the same way. He joked around that he would gladly get it done IF I found him a female Urologist. Well...I found him one,
Christina K. Pramudji, MD
23920 Katy Freeway
Suite 380
Katy, TX 77494

The funniest part was that he was sitting in her office (paperwork already filled out) and she walked in, took one look at him and asked him if she knew him. They went to college together, in the same major, until she took this direction. I joked that she had better have been a non-disgruntled ex-girlfriend...

Anyway, she did a good job and he healed fine. The only problem he has now is not quite feeling like he is done once he is done (if you know what I mean). Good luck with your husband. By the way...make sure you have a frozen bag of peas on hand for once he is done!
