Thomas the Train Wilton Pan - Where to Buy?

My 4 year old is requesting that I MAKE a Thomas cake this year for his birthday. (Next Tues) Does anyone know someplace local I can buy the Wilton pan? I don't have time to have it shipped.

Or, if someone has one, I'd be willing to pay to borrow it for a few days early next week.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

If you had more time, you could order some of these and decorate them like Thomas!! http://www.trainparty.com/traincakepans.html There are many train cakes, toppers, cookie cutters.....you name it! Maybe if you had the cake next weekend?? Good luck!

I just asked my friend, who made a Thomas cake for her son's birthday! She said, that the Thomas pans were retired by Wilton. (I just noticed, it said that on the Wilton sight, too!) She got a normal Wilton train cake pan (from Joanne's) and made it look like Thomas. It was really cute!

I use Elizabeth's in Euless a lot. They often carry discontinued pans that you can rent. You pay a $10 deposit , which is refunded when you return the pan. It costs $1 per day to rent most pans.

Do you have Michael's stores there? They carry a lot of Wilton stuff.

I was hoping that someone would have this answer b/c I'm pretty sure my son is going to want one too! Having said that, if you can't find on, just order the darn cake from the bakery with Thomas' smiling blue face silkscreened on the top!

Call Char's Cake Fixings at ###-###-####. They are on Crowley Rd. in Ft. Worth (right off I-20). They have TONS of cake pans and will rent them out also. If for some reason they don't have it call Elizabeth's Cake Supplies on Hurst Rd. in Euless - ###-###-####. They also have lots of stuff and pans to rent. I think both these places ask for a refundable deposit and the pans are like $1 to $2 per day to rent.

Have fun with your cake !

You can check online for any local stores as well. Any place that carries Wilton products should have it.
