Thank You Gift - Keller,TX

I was in desperate need of a sitter this week. I only needed someone for an hour and a half. No one I called was available and I called everyone I could think of...everyone. So my friend's mother in law volunteered after hearing my predicament. I have spent some time with her and definitely trust her. I thought she already had plans to be in town (she visits often). I just found out today that she is driving over and hour just to come in town and help me out! What can I bring her as a thank you gift? I know very little about her hobbies or interests.

What can I do next?

Buy her flowers. Tell her that she is your surrogate mom, and happy mother's day and she's a lifesaver. Grab them at the grocery store and then put a drippy wet paper towel around the bottom, and some aluminum foil. They'll still be good when she gets home.

Glad this worked out - whew!

Since she's driving so far, maybe a gas card and a pretty thank you card? I'm actually one of those weirdos that don't really like to give flowers unless I know someone because lots of my family has allergies/sensitivities to them.

Have flowers delivered to her. That's always appreciated.

Gift card. Pick up a $25 card that works at multiple restaurants.

Wow over an hour drive? Offer gas money for sure, if she doesn't want to accept it then she won't. In that case offer to order her some dinner or lunch while she's watching your little one.

Quick call to the friend (whoever she is mom to) to find out what she would appreciate or is "into".
If you find out nothing in particular, then a "Thank you" cookie and a bouquet of flowers would work perfectly!
