Mamas & Papas-

The technology has been out there for some time, but I am a bit of a luddite, and certainly not an early adopter. Can any of you recommend a good calendar. One which my hubs and I can share, and also include kiddie committments?

We both have i-phones but not the latest, 4 and 4S.

Thanks,
F. B.

We live on Cozi. We have "people" set up for all 6 of us, plus I have "people" for dinner, FlyLady routines, and my work schedule from my FT job so that my husband doesn't need to clutter his view with my meetings, dinner plans, etc. he just sees what he needs to see, which is who needs to be where and doing what when he gets out of work. I can link in the school and sports calendars, my tutoring/teaching calendar and basically any calendar that has an iCal format.

We just use iCal (the one that's already on your phone ;) and then sync via iCloud. Everyone's individual calendar shows up on our home computers. I don't want to see my husband's entire calendar on my iPhone and he doesn't want to see mine, but what I do if there's something I need him to know about on my calendar, I'll simply add him as an invitee. Then he can have it on his calendar, but he could, for instance, mark it as "free time" on his end - so he can see that I am doing whatever I'm doing, but he doesn't see it as something he must attend on his end. iCal works for us to keep our schedules in order (all four of us use it).

Pretty sure you can share the basic calendar with iCloud, right?

I like Cozi. My husband hates it because I have "too much" stuff on the calendar. It kind of shows him, being a SAHM is very busy.

Cozi, Cozi, Cozi! I liked it so much I pay for the gold version.
It's on my ipads, iphone, android and on my computers.
I've set up for my child, pets, husband, and a rental unit. The phones are updated immedialely (sorry Cheryl B about your sync troubles, but Cozi has Never had that problem)
I can send hubby out to do food shopping and add to the shopping list on the fly - it's there when he looks at it on his phone.
Love the apps. Seriously -Cozi!

I love google calendar and using it with our yahoo and gmail accounts, any contact in your list can be invited.

I invite hubby to events/classes/ and more simply by clicking on his email address when I invite him to the event.

Then I send him the same reminders I send myself. It really helps when he's off doing something and his phone dings. He looks and realizes he's supposed to be going to an activity, game, practice, or something important.

I have family birthdays on there and they repeat every year, I put our exercise classes on there and they repeat unending. I have the kids events, birthday parties, and other stuff on the calendar too.

It's very user friendly and I will use it as long as I can.

My husband has an iHell, I have a droid, they sync with google apps. As does our computers. So pretty much I have the same calendar on every device I own.
