I tried it. Didn't work at all and i was on a VERY strict and disciplined diet and exercise plan. Also made my stomach a little upset. I was thinking about giving it another try though. I've heard some of my friends say it worked but only minimal. Mostly it's an appetite suppressor.

Dear T.,

I’ve never tried Slim Quick but I’ve tried a lot of weight loss plans over time.

The way I feel about these meds is that if they were successful, everyone would be on it.

I did have a lot of success with a plan started by my doctor. Dr. McCoy is a family practice MD who has an “After Hours” clinic near AGH hospital. He found that a good portion of the ailments his patients complained of was related to obesity. He decided to treat his patients’ obesity and found that he could decrease the amount of blood pressure pills, back pain pills, insulin etc. he was prescribing for them.

His plan was so successful that he started a weight loss clinic. Here is the website.

weightlosssolns.com

I lost 50 lbs and my husband lost 80 lbs. On the website, he lists all his clients as a number instead of a name so you can see how many have been successful. Since I got off the diet, I’ve gained about 15 lbs. It was SUPPOSED to be a life style change, I’ve not stayed on the exercise, and I enjoy cake and cookies too much. I have a female friend who lost 100 pounds on it! She was a real go-getter.

Dr. McCoy is very kind, and caring. I’m blessed to have him as my doctor. I tend to promote his clinic every chance I get because he saved my husband from a gastric bi-pass, which was the next step if this diet didn’t work.

His diet is for people with an overweight range when their BMI is calculated. (There’s a link to a BMI calculator on his website.) This is not for someone who wants to lose 5-10 pounds before an engagement.

Good luck in whatever you choose to do, T..

A., RN

I haven't tried SlimQuick, but I am taking Alli and absolutely love it. My husband is so against any form of diet pill, but because it is FDA approved I have that as leverage when he disapproves. It doesn't curve your appitite, but it literally blocks 1/4 of the fat from being absorbed by your body. If you try Alli, BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU EAT! It has a reputation for a reason. If you go overboard with portions, grease, etc, your body will force it out and sometimes it is at a very inappropriate time. I don't want to go into more detail, but it explains everything in the literature. Once you understand that you need to pay attention to what and how much you eat, it is fantastic! I could see and feel a difference in a week (not too different, but I felt better). Good luck!

Hi T.!

Sorry, I am a little late in reponding. I have tried every diet out there. The plan that helped me loose weight the quickest way and with "all natural & safe products" was by using Arbonne's weight loss system. I started selling the products after we tried every persciption out there for my son's skin condition. My web site is www.astonishingresults.myarbonne.com You can check out www.gofigure8.com to read more about the diet products. If you'd like to learn more, please feel free to contact me anytime of the day:) Take Care! L.

I agree with the last post. Weight loss is not a quick fix, but ultimately a change in something (lifestyle, eating habits).

We have seen remarkable results with our Restore brand. Restore is a whole body supplement that supports the four foundations of health: nutrition, digestion, immunity and circulation.

I would be happy to get you more information.

Hi T.,

Although I have never used SlimQuick I do know that it is in the same category with a lot of other weight loss aids. It lists some fairly good ingredients, in NO combination that you can tell are beneficial. It also has a diuretic in it; something to help with water loss. BAD IDEA!

The key to weight loss is nutrition. My husband lost 110 pounds taking a good, absorbable multivitamin/mineral. No activity change and no change in his diet....He was never a really bad eater and he wasn't lazy, but something wasn't working right. He had already tried every fad and every "potion" ever recommended and did lose weight BUT it always came back with a vengeance plus some!

When the nutrition really got in his system, the weight started dropping off. His body was working the way it was designed. Don't think this is just a isolated incident. I have seen it with other family members and my husband's best friend.

I give nutritional seminars and weight loss is one of the topics that I discuss. T., this is not a difficult fix and it is not an expensive fix. If you want more information I will be glad to help.

Regards,

M.

I actually have tried slim quick after having my third daughter. It really reduces your appetite. I wasn't nearly as hungry as I normally was, so I didn't snack as much. I did see some weight loss, but not a lot. That however was probably my own fault after about a week or so I kept forgetting to take it. ( Just got busy and couldn't remember if I had already taken it or not so I would just wait for the next dose.) Had I been better at taking it as directed I'd probably have done better. As we all know this is not the be all end all, but slim quick with excersice can't hurt. I never had any bad side effects like some meds give you. Hope this helps you!

I've tried it and so has my daughter; honestly, can't say if it works or not, only thing with exercise and a sensible diet (like it says in the package) you lose weight, but unfortunately i think with that alone (without the product) you'd have the same effect.

Hi T.,

I tried SlimQuick about 10 years ago and didn't work at all!
However, I do know of a product similar to it - a meal replacement shake that you can drink for breakfast and/or lunch and you also have the option to be part of their support website. I have used this shake and my mom has too, and we both have been able to lose weight with it because it uses a patented ingredient that curbs your hunger in more than one way.
Now, I don't mean this to sound like a sales pitch because I don't actually sell it or anything else, but I am an Independent Consultant with the company that manufactures and distributes it. I'd be more than happy to give you a free consultation, just give me a call and I'll give you all the information.
