Has anyone found it worth it selling to this store? I just dropped off 4 brand new toddler shoes with tags still attached (Reebox, Stride Rite etc) and 2 Gymboree zip up sweatjackets and they wanted to give me 7.50 for everything! Thats just over a dollar an item! I couldnt believe it and told them to forget it - I could sell them more in a garage sale. And what kills me is that I know they would probably price those shoes for 7 bucks alone!
Anyone have any luck selling things at other resale/consignment stores in the area? I live in Schererville, Indiana.
THanks!

What can I do next?

You could sell your items on Ebay or Craigslist...or another place to check out is twins clubs. In Illinois, we have them by county and we do resales 2x a year. The benefit is that they do allow a certain amount of spots for non members to sell their clothing at the twins club resale.

I don't live up there but have tried selling to a similiar store, "Kid to Kid," with the same issue. They would offer a tiny amount that was sooo far below what I could get at a garage sale or online - grrr, craigslist works out for me. Hope you get them sold!

I don't know what is in your area. But I sell to Just Between Friends and it is Consignment Sale that happens 2 times a year. Once in the Spring and once in the Fall. You sell your items and you get 65% and up to 70% if you volunteer to help in the sale. I have made great money back from selling there. There are other ones, I can't think of the names of them, but you might do a search for consignment sales or kids consignment sales in your area or a bigger town closest to you might have one. This isn't a permanent store, it is usually in a church or a conference center or someplace like that. Yes, I agree Kid to Kid is a joke, I never take my clothes there anymore.

I also sell items at Just Between Friends. It is a great, easy way to make money. You get to set your own prices (they have good guidelines to follow so you price to sell). I usually volunteer a 4 hour shift so I get 70% of the sale. They have a website you can check out. There are locations in a bunch of states.
