I am seeking a photojournalist style, children's photographer who will come to my Chicago home and make the disk of images available. All of the photographer's I have found allow you to order prints but not the disk w/the digital images.
April Kitchin is amazing. She did my children's photos and they were beautiful. With her packages, you can get a disk of the photos.

You have a lot of good options here but thought I'd throw my hat in the ring. I've been doing this for 10 years and always give you every good shot I take online, in print and on CD (120+ images per session!)
You pick a location.
You bring the darlings.
You keep the negatives.

I think Jane Hasty is really good. She is in the city and will travel to your house or a location of your choice. She allows you to purchase one or all the images on disk. You can google her and her website will come up. but i think it is JaneHastytypepad.com. There are lots of samples of her work on the site.

Try maggiekphoto.com...we're having pictures of our daughter taken at the end of the month by her but a friend used her and loved the pictures. She doesn't have a studio and you have the option of choosing two locations for pictures. She also will give you a disc of all the pictures taken...I think its $175 extra but for $175 you get two locations for up to four people which is a lot cheaper than most.
I have a friend from when I was at Columbia College who is great at this! Rachel Silvers-her company is online at www.metimages.com, Metropolitan ImageWorks. Definitely check her out, the work she does is amazing and you can tell her that C. P. sent you!
We currently use Our 365 portrait studio - they come to our house and you can purchase the disk. There are many packages that allow you to purchase the disk as well. They do a phenomenal job - everyone always says how amazing our pictures look. There is no sitting fee, either.
Try Bella Photography. They did my wedding and gave us the disk. They also do babies.
If you wind up not finding anything that'll work for you, send me a private message and I'll ask my husband. He's a photographer but typically does sports. He does baby pictures for our families.
We used Maggie k and she was great goes go your home and location and gives you a dvd of images.
I highly recommend Sarah Alair. We've used her several times inside and outside, and everyone we've recommended her to has been pleased.
Have you tried Our 365 Portraits? They come to the home and they also offer a cd of the pictures. They are a little pricey, but they do good work.
