Seeking Honest and Reputable Mechanic in West side/South Bay Area

Anyone know of a good & honest mechanic? We have an older Chevy truck that needs transmission work and do NOT want to go back to the dealer. Had a terrible experience with Martin Cheverolet in Torrance. We live in the LAX area, but my husband works in the South Bay so either part of town would work.

What can I do next?

i'm happy with my mechanice at hank's auto, he is very honest. i have been going to him for about one year now. he gets the car in and out, and is willing to squeeze you in for a last minute oil change too! i personally love that since i always wait to the last min for everything. the owners name is scott and he is located in lomita. ###-###-####

One of our closest friends is a GM master dynastic tech (basically a car genius!) he works out of Braun Automotive. I don't have their number but I am sure they are listed. Ask for Ollie Altobello, he is great!

Try Chiefs in Hermosa Beach -- they are family owned, extremely reputable and both my husband and I have had wonderful experience with them over many years. I trust them completely.
