I am looking for a good pediatrician in the Grand Prairie area. I prefer someone that takes their time with the baby and allows time for questions or concerns. Any recommendations?

What can I do next?

I live in GP, but go to Dr. Daniels in Mansfield (not far at all). His number is easy to memorize 817-453-KIDS. He never makes you feel rushed, never has a long wait, and is so good with my daughter (now 13 months- we've gone to him from the start). Also, his nurse is FANTASTIC and I almost never have to leave a message for her- she answers her phone! Also, the have extended hours and weekend hours. If they are closed a nurse from Cooks Children's Hospital will return your call within minutes no matter the day or time. My husband and I feel safe with him taking care of our baby.

Oh, and someone else mentioned Dr. Mann- he's in the same office. My daughter saw him once, but we preferred Dr. Daniels- but Dr. Mann was good too. And I DID have to call on Christmas this past year (from out of state) and someone was available!

DR. Mann is in Mansflield, but I have heard awesome things about him. When we move out south in a few months I will be switching to him. I just can't drive thirty min. from where we are living now. I am also pretty sure that someone is on call 24/7/364 only off Christmas. At least that is what it used to be.

We're very happy with Dr. Stacey Gibson-Hull at South Arlington Pediatrics. She's in an office within the Medical Clinic of North Texas at USMD Hospital at Arlington off Matlock and I20. http://www.mcnt.com/bios/Dr._Stacey_Gibson-Hull.htm

She's very personable, spends just the right amount of time with us, answers our questions and is great with children. We picked her as our baby's pediatrician (our baby who is now 2.5) upon the recommendation of a friend. I highly recommend her.

I would recommend Dr. S. Gold, she is in arlington. She is very patient not only with the little ones but also with you. I have not had any problems with her and have had quite a few, what seemed urgent to me, incidents and she was very flexible in seeing my child.

I am a registered nurse for 20 years and I highly recommend Melvin Joki MD. He is with Cooks Children and his office is located in Mansfield off of 287 and Walnut Creek. It is not a bad drive depending on what part of Grand Prairie you are in. No matter, he is worth it! Wonderful and caring...he really takes time to make sure everyone understands and is heard!

Dr. Capino is good. I am 27 and I went there until I was 18 and now both of my kids go there. She takes her time with everything and remembers everything. She still remembers when and how I broke my collar bone when I was 14 months old!
