Seeking for a Great Family Physcian

I'm assuming you don't want a Fairview clinic because of the BC/BS situation :) I HIGHLY recommend Southdale Pediatrics in Burnsville for your children. I know you are looking for a family practice doctor, but SDP really does great with children! My daughter sees Dr. Lisa Oie but all of them are great!! As for me, I see Deb Haqq at Quello Clinic in Burnsville. She's a CNM but I see her for everything from strep throat, to migraines, to OB/GYN stuff. She's very understanding, will take your ideas into consideration, and loves when I bring my daughter to my check-ups! In fact, when I don't bring my daughter with me she says, "no little one today?...Bummer, I was hoping to see her!"

We go to Southdale Pediatrics in Burnsville. Our son has seen Dr Westlund for the last year and she is fantastic with him. When our son was first born his physician was Dr Morkelberg (sp?) And he was also great. Highly recommend the clinic. The nurses are friendly and efficient, the doctors never make you feel rushed and are very reassuring . Convenient hours and have been relatively easy to get appts scheduled quickly. Good location in the heart of Burnsville near the hospital. Easy access to I35 via CR42 and not far from a Target, Walgreens and Walmart for filling scripts.

My doctor is fabulous and, I think, meets all your criteria. Her name is Barbara Sterner and her office is Burnsville Family Physicians, near Fairview Ridges. There are 3 male and 3 female doctors, all very good. Another really good female in the group is Jill Johnson.

I can always get same day appointments, if not with Dr. Sterner then with one of the other doctors. They are open til 8:00 PM Monday-Thursday, and also Saturday morning for urgent care. I always feel like they take the time I need and don't rush through the appointments. My daughters (5 & 8) have always gone there and I have been with them for 20 years. My husband has even started going to see Dr. Magnuson (male).

We've been seeing her for 12 years and LOVE her!!!!

I go to the Allina clinic in Woodbury (I have bc/bs too) and I see Dr Danielle Montague - I think she's great. She's also both of my kids' doctor and she is great with them. My husband see's Dr Foss and when we can't get in to see Dr Montague, we take the kids to him and he's great too. I highly recommend both of them! Both are very caring and sensitive and they remember you and your kids, even if you aren't there to see them.
