Try www.lakecountyhomedaycare.com it is a list of licensed providers in Lake county. I myself am on the list. I live in Antioch which is probably in the wrong direction. Check it out I know there are tons of providers in your area. Phone numbers are listed for you and you don't have to pay a fee or talk to anyone to get the list, which means you can do it at your convience.

You can also try the YWCA, I know they keep a list of licensed providers.

If all else fails you can call DCFS yourself and get a list of providers. Not all providers advertise or join certain organizations so they are not all listed in one place. DCFS should have a complete list, though I don't know how long it takes to get the list.

If you go to this website, there should be a number to your local office to call and they will give you a list of in home license and unlicensed providers. Go under FIND CHILDCARE NOW and look for your local office. You may have to pay a little fee, as they ask how much you make. It is a donation to keep teh service going. All of our live-in au pairs are carefully selected and screened. They are young adults from over 40 countries around the world who love children and are eager to experience life in the United States. For about $310 per week, an au pair can provide up to 10 hours per day, 45 hours per week of childcare.
