I don't know about the divorce attorney, I just wanted to let you know you are doing the right thing, and I am so very sorry you are having to go through this!

I would try the Tarrant County Bar in a yahoo search to find the website. Those are top lawyers for Tarrant County, but since $$ is an issue, I would still call them because some of them take on Pro Bono 1-2 times a year as community service. They also can point you in the right direction of a more affordable one and lay out your options. I found many of the top lawyers are very helpful when you call their office for advice.

I am unsure about the legal end of the question since I haven't ever had to deal with it, but as far as being tested for HIV or other sexually transmitted diseases- call and check to see if Planned Parenthood does them. I know several people who have got their birthcontrol there super cheap. They work with people on strapped incomes and charge based on that. I just don't know 100% if they do testing for diseases, but if they do, its an opportunity to get it done cheap and not have it applied to your insurance if you are worried about that.

you can go to any Planned Parenthood to get any STD test. i don't know about the divorce but i wanted to wish u good luck thru this hard time.
