Has anyone been to Schiliterbahn Galaveston in the winter? We are planning on tajing our daughter there for her birthday in a few weeks. We have been there the past two summers and we LOVE it. So I was just want any advice on the winter months, I want to maek sure it is worth it. Thanks in advance!

Edit: THis is a water slide park, they do have a website I just wanted to know anyone's personal experience with going in the winter as we have only been there in the summer.
Part of The park in the winter is indoors so its all closed in and the water is heated.

What can I do next?

I didn't realize Schlitterbahn in Galveston had an indoor section. We may have to check that out! We have done the Moody Gardens, etc, in Galveston, but not Schiltterbahn. If you are going during the holiday season, be sure to go see the Christmas lights at Moody Gardens. Very festive!

Is it an amusement park?
Do they have a website?
If there's a website, you can probably find out
what they offer in the winter.

My daughter attended a birthday party there last winter. She is 13 and said it was fun but not as fun with all the slides open in summer - as can be expected. The areas that are enclosed are the two kiddie areas and the 3 larger slides that empty into the kiddie area. The Torrent River is still in operation which is a pretty good stretch of "lazy river" - they have a wall up that keeps the river from going out where the wave pool is located. I think the blue sides just east of the kiddie areas are also in operation.

Another option - Mamapedia is offering a special today of $20 for 4 tickets to the outdoor ice rink at Discovery Green. Not anywhere close to your original plan - just another option.

I just asked my cousin abut it, she lives in Houston. She says there is an indoor portion and it can be fun, but not as fun as in the summer with ALL of the outdoor stuff..

I bet for a child it is still a blast..

i cant think of what exactly youd be doing, unless you go there on a notoriously hot texas winter day, but those are few, today was one, lol, otherwise i dont see the point, the slides , the river, the pools should all be too cold around this time and i dont think its heated, and even if it is, the air will still be cold.
