Santa’s Enchanted Forest in Miami

Hello All!!!

Ok so I planed this “family event” to Santa’s Enchanted Forest for Dec 12th. Well since doing so I have had a couple family members mention it is NOT a good place to take kids, much less young ones. They have said in a nut shell that it is in a bad area of Miami, and the rest of the patrons are hummm how shall I say nicely, that they are not good family people? I was just wondering if anyone has gone and their experiences. I really want to take my son as he’s 15 months old and LOVES the holiday lights he’s seen in stores. But let me preface this with I got the idea from the Happy Twig Booklet that I subscribe to with all the “family” events in the Tri county area and I have done tons of the activities over the last 15 months and we have LOVED every and all of them. So Please tell me the truth…the good the bad and the ugly or anything in between that you may know…lol! Thank you all in advance!

What can I do next?

Hi M.,
I basically lived all my life in the Miami area. Santa's Enchanted Forest is located in one of the best area's of Miami. Its just always very busy(traffic all the time).I have a two year old boy, who I took last year December. My little boy had a great time. There are lots of kiddie rides and other fun games and food for all. Take a chance and go...there is nothing to lose. Have fun!

Hi,

I grew up in Miam and the area Tropical Park is fine. I have a little guy and am planning on taking him this year too. He is 19 months. I would just go during the week has the weekends are very busy mainly teenagers which are not so family friendly. I would not worry about anything else. The area is a nice area south Miami and right off the highway.

Hi M.....I have been to the enchanted forest with my young children and loved it! The lights and displays are magical. As far as the people that attend....it isn't any different then going to a carnival. Like any place you go there are all types of people. There is plenty of security so I don't think you need to worry. Have fun!

Hi M.

Yes, that is the sad truth. It is not a nice place both because of the area and the people. Plus, you have to pay for everything inside!
If you are looking for another activity with your baby (I have a 19 month old :-)), I have a stroller fitness class that's good for both of you. Check me out on mamasource: Little Booties Boot Camp.
Take care and happy holidays!
S. =)

Hi M.

I have taken my kids and they had a great time. It is a little expensive, but if you are only going to look at the lights and see Santa it's a great place. There is alot to look at and exciting for a 15 month old.

Enjoy
C. :)

M.,

It is expensive(pack your own snacks)and does get very crowded on the weekends. The children have a wonderful time but do go during the week with a toddler.

We took our daughter when she was 14 months and are planning on taking her again this year along with our 1 year old son. It is beautiful there. Just keep focused on why you are there. Have Fun!
