My daughter is 3 1/2 and really wants to send a letter to santa. I want to make this special for her. I found a few sites with the addresses. One sounds really cool. You send a self addressed stamped envelope to fairbanks alaska and the postmaster opens the envelope and stamps it from the north pole and mails it back. I was just wondering if any of you mommys have other addresses or know of websites with santa letter templates to use. I never did this before so I really dont know where to start. She is so excited so I want to do this right. Thanx so much.

So What Happened?

Thank you all for your posts. I looked up North Pole Alaska USPS and it gave the address that I,wrote and that it must be tbere by Dec 15th to guarentee the letters return by Christmas. The reason I wanted the template is so that the return letter from santa is super cute and something she would be excited about. I use the santa tracker sites every year since she was born. I also had a phone call from santa on Christmas Eve done last year and plan to do it again this year. For $5 they call your child and then for their birthday Santa sends them a birthday postcard. Its really cute. Thank you all again. I hope all of you have a great Holiday season.

I remember those days..sad to say they are gone for us now, but we used to just have Santa leave a letter with the empty cookie plate and milk glass near the presents....
You can give her more fun by having her follow Santa's ride starting on Christmas eve via NORAD. It posts where he visits along the way and kids love it!

The one you listed is the "official" one sponsored by the Postal Service. It's really the only one you can do without paying for a service to answer the letter and cancel it from a fake Santa address.

If you do use the USPS one, write a letter to your daughter from Santa, put it inside an envelope with your address on it (and a stamp), put that inside another envelope addressed to the Postmaster in Fairbanks and you're good to go.

Wherever you address the letter, I would drop them off at the big Santa Mailboxes at Macy's. Each letter that is stamped and addressed will be sent to the post office and Make a wish gets a donation!

There is also North Pole, Alaska

Here is a link.

Why use a template for a letter?
"Santa" likes the cute and original ones.

Have fun!

Do some googling.
I believe it was the North Pole, AK post office that anwers kids letters for free and even displays some of their favorites. I saw something about it on the Travel Channel.

Santa Claus, Indiana does this as well!

Also, think towns named Bethlehem will do the same!

ETA - there's also a video from Santa you can do - think the site is northpole.com but don't know if it's up for this year yet!!!

The day after Thanks giving all the kids write to santa.

We send them addressed that was....But we put grandma and grampas address underneath.

The gig will be up, when my oldest figures out the north pole is not in renton.

I have time though...They never stick with getting the letters that far in the sending process.

I have not tried any of the other sites....Fun idea! something to look into I guess!!
