Hi ladies,
got any good resources for reward (sticker) charts? My son is almost two and he have been using colored paper with stickers. Basically right now we want him to brush his teeth, clean-up his toys and a few other simple tasks.
Is it easier to just print out freebies that I have found online or are there a few good charts out there that you recommend?
i use two different ones i found online...chucky cheese and crayola....we have also used old calendar pages...once the week is full we give her .25 and then once the month is full we do/give something special like the zoo, mall of america, small toy, visit to chucky cheese for pizza or games etc...all ideas are free!
I got a good one from a toy catalog I received in the mail. (I'm trying to remember the name of the catalog offhand.) It's nice because you just wipe off the words and the star stickers are reusable so you won't run out.

Go to www.thegreatkidplan.com..........I went to the Mom's Expo @ Burnsville Center and the chart is a magnetic one with magnetic stars!..........I think it's $20 or so!

There is a learning store in Bursnville called abc learning (I think that is the name) I have had really good luck finding basic charts and as my kids have gotten older ones that I can modify for their age groups. They are right off of 35w and 42 by the post office if you are interested.

My son's a little older (4-years old), which may or may not be relevant.
We've found that what works best with him is to just draw out the chart ourselves, then to let him decorate it with pens/crayons however he likes. We just use construction paper. He gets to choose the stickers that we use to mark each successful endeavor. This way he's really proud of the chart itself and very enthusiastic for a chance to use the stickers he's chosen for himself.

I found a great one at the Mall of America. There used to be a Discovery Store on the 1st floor and now it's some sort of Toy Store - They have a Magentic Responsibility Chart with really good options and magnets. I bought it just this last weekend and my kids love it already. I think I paid about $12.99 or $14.99 for it. Good Luck!
